I wanted to listen some music from my celtic ancestors while I'm working. The sound only, I'm traveling in my DNA. When I bring back the image on my screen, I travel among my ancestors. Thank you so much for sharing.

As an Englishman with Scottish ancestry on my mother's side I find it very heart warming to see how taken by Celtic music the people of continental Europe are. I wouldn't expect French people with their high culture to be interested but I have seen many concerts in France. In particular it is the Germans who seem absolutely in love with Celtic music.
@RAPALJEmusic5 жыл бұрын
You are right. Germans love this music. But we also perform for great audience in Belgium, Austria, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, Denmark, South of England, etc..

I first stumbled on Rapalje in You Tube while looking for tunes to practice my mandolin to in between playing sessions at a pub in West London and have kept coming back. It's a shame that Rapalje don't appear to play any concerts in the UK. I really enjoy the interpretations of some well known traditional and newer Celtic songs and tunes.

The ( recorder? Do you have better name for it? ) at the start, is my favourite beginning to your concerts. I've watched loads of your full shows on you tube ( never live cos you haven't made it to New Zealand yet that I know of!) but this is my favourite start, so haunting and beautiful, which is a great contrast to the upbeat and fabulous music to follow. When will you come visit this part of the world - a Dutchman found us, you can too!!)

Hello Scott D, The "recorder" at the beginning of the tune "Dunmore Lassies" is called a low-whistle and tune in the same way a smaler tin-whistle. I made a playlist with only the Full Concerts for you: kzbin.info/aero/PLHVJNG60X_KMeSvbmFHf3YYqmRzOQxynb

Never thought i would see a twerking trad Celtic musician, bit it happened in this concert. It doesn't add to the song for me, plus drummer looks like he is dumbly upstaging the flamer bagpiper. How should I feel about a twerking drummer in the song what does it mean for the song?? its too difficult. hey drummer if you want to upstage get a better gimmick than twerking. Hey I got it make a virtuoso drum riff. Yeah The musicianship is quite superb and excellent and all that do we need twerking?" urrrhhmmm. nice concert
