TL;DR David Banner is very complicated, but one of the few artists I would not call manufactured or fake. If anything, he's like a large portion of my southern family lol The thing is...David Banner isn't a "Commercial artist" (or wasn't...his music is kind of different now lol). What I mean, is that he's not a "Plies." This wasn't a front to sell records, or get people to like him with some superficial image that sold out black people by feeding into stereotypes that white people would pay to have perpetuated (which Plies eloquently stated about his own career in an interview...sigh). This was honest to life...just DAVID BANNER lol He was really like this. Really thought the things he said, was sort of ignorant, got hella crunk, and made music that reflected that life. This is why most of the people I know who loved the crunk era absolutely LOVED David Banner. It was honest real music. You can feel how you want about his lyrical ability, or personality, but it wasn't really manufactured lol And for the last 3-5 years he was basically a motivational speaker (it's even weirder than you think...and slightly better) who has changed his life in many ways into being an ambassador for the streets in the regards of dealing with the institutionalization and oppression of black people, and he talks about his personal transformation.
@Braillionaire7 жыл бұрын
Still terrible. *clarification* I was never a DB fan lol but I heard more than enough of his music due to friends who were huge southern music fans.

Hey RC, I was wondering if you review good songs by artists that are known for constantly bringing there best. Of course Patreon requests should take priority over all (or at least most) KZbin requests, but it doesn't seem like you review a lot of music that you enjoy. I'd like to see you review a song you really like and why you like it. Now don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy any kind of content you put out, but I think I might enjoy it more if you enjoy it to.
