My grandfather did this to my mother from 6-12 years old. It made her non emotional, non nurturing and cold growing up. It also made her fear men, including any abusive one. We still have a difficult relationship to this day. You are a courageous woman for telling your story. God bless

I'm a father of 2 girls, listening to this young lady it tears me apart. Who would do that to her own daughter??? And then denys it. Your father is a sick man, actually a sick animal. All rapist should receive a hush penalty, cut ithat pipi off to teach the rest of them a lesson. God is great, He will never forsake you nor leave and loves you. Keep your head up never stop fighting. 🙏🙏

Isn't this proof that there is no " almighty god " at all ? The same " almighty god " who let a lot of African children die of hunger and no white once ? If I were a father of a white child and a black child , I would protect and feed them both !

I was raped from the time I was 4 until 16 I ended up getting pregnant between 11 and 12 years old but I don't know if it was my stepfather or step brother... By the time my mom's marriage to my stepfather was over he had passed away and my step brother was gone... I was placed in an institute because I was lying about it.. moms and dads, if your children tell you that they're being raped please look into it. I'm in my 40s and I still have nightmares. When your little like that, and you hope there's someone to help you, and no one believes you ,It just tells you that you're not worth it . I no longer have anything to do with my family.

I had a similar experience with my stepdad. I think it started when I was in grade 2 or 3 and stopped in grade 4 when one morning my mom found him on top of me. Even this day I don’t understand why he was not arrested or why mom stayed married and still had more kids with this man. Then I saw no problem - I wasn’t bothered. He’d give me money to go buy sweets with friends. Today I’m 29, turning 30 next month and the thought of it now that I understand better - I know exactly what was happening, it’s messing up with me every day. Thank you for sharing, it burdens me less to see people claiming back their dignity - I’ve also gained courage to talk about it.

In my country Cameroon, victims of rape like myself are blamed. What were you wearing they go? What were you doing there in the first place? Blablabla... What was this 7 year old child wearing I beg you? Was that not her father's house where she should have been so protected and not utterly violated? God is good. So so much love and healing Ms Zizo...and I guess those who gave thumbs down are perpetrators or those rape enablers and victim shamers

What i learned from this is that Parents needs to start teaching their children about these things at a very young age, sit down with your 5/6 years old girl or boy and explain to her or him these things, It doesn't have to be as deep but just let them know that no one must touch you there and there or do this to you it is wrong and you must come and tell me. It pained that Zizo didn't know that what her dad was doing is wrong. It was a great yet painful interview to watch. Strong to you Zizo, you are very beautiful.

I am so sorry she went through this. I too was molested 47 years ago though by a grandfather, uncle, 2 brothers, and teachers aid. I forgave a long time ago. Nobody was taken to court I was sent to VA to live with my mom but my grandma didn't believe me and a bad decision in who to take me. What they went through because of their sin was bad enough. My brother who is 61 apologize 2 years ago and is a minister now . Most are grandfather and uncle. Seem like others have been violated when we were young. I learned that from a cousin. Having a relationship with God makes all the difference. God bless you and your family!

We are very blessed indeed. Both my brother's are married and I always pride myself to their children. A young man who would help me bath and put on clothes and school uniform. Am in primary he is in high school already but he is carrying me to school. Drops me off at my classroom and run to his own. After School he would come and see if my friend are going home with me. Then he goes back to his studies and come home very late. To cook for me and make sure my uniform and things are in order. I thank God for my brother's life's. Sometimes I feel like I don't thank them enough.

Coz growing up my mother having left he used to bath me rarely when he saw that I wasn't doing a good job in bathing. He never in any way touched me in an inappropriate way. To imagine that there are plenty women out there who are willing to have sexual partners and he leaves all of them for his 7 yr old daughter? To Zizo I say you are strong and I hope your book will enlighten people and prevent further abuse of such kind. Thank you for coming public about this coz in doing so you are helping a lot of people. As a new mama who unfortunately underwent abuse as well I sure will protect my daughter to the end of the world and if ANYONE hurts her in this way not only will I believe her but I will also ensure that that monster NEVER hurts anyone else. Than i will make sure to get my baby any help nessessary. And I'd smile in my mugshot if needed.

You are such a beautiful brave person I commend you for that. My dad is watching tv in the living room and I'm in my room watching this episode. I cannot even imagine my dad doing such a horrible thing to me or any other person. I grew up with three men and not once did I feel unsafe around them, I guess not everyone was blessed with a great father, brother and cousin.

Watching this has opened my eyes. That children are easy target because they dont have mental capacity to know or even explain rape. My mom never trusted even her brothers, she was over protective. I never understood why but now I get it. This was very insightful, I have heard many rape cases but never quite like this. Thanks for sharing your story. God bless you

I am a man and like children like many people do . I will NEVER treat a child without their parents . Don't want to teach children to accept things from men . And you parents : teach your children not to accept anything " my parents told me ONLY to accept things from them " . 95% of sexual childabuse comes from men who are near to the parents : Friends , uncles , grandfathers ....
