These are probably one of the best video's on KZbin.. Gives one an insight into actual procedures.. Fantastic!!!

You manage to go above and beyond for every one of those simulations for the channel. Very well done!

Why are you descending in lvl chg? Go down to the limit

Hi Mr. Andrex. There are a couple of ways you can use the AFDS to descend the aircraft, but if you want to descend fast with a reduced workload, LVL CHG is one great choice: you set the target speed (MMO/VMO if structural integrity is not in doubt or limit the speed if you are in doubt) and the aircraft will keep it by controlling the pitch. If the autothrotlle is engaged, the thrust levers will be commanded to idle. To increase the rate of descent even more, the speedbrake should be extended to flight detent (this is all part of the Emergency Descent NNC). If really necessary, the landing gear can also be extended, as long as the IAS is below 270 knots. One mode I wouldn't recommend is V/S: this one would increase a lot the workload, because if you set a high rate of descent, you will exceed the MMO/VMO. If you set a low rate of descent, the autothrolle will increase add thrust. It's important to know how to use the "change over" switch to change the command speed from Mach to IAS (or vice-versa) at the right time. If the pilot does not interfere, this change will occur at approximately FL260. I hope it can help you to understand why usually I (and most of the pilots) use LVL CHG in case of an emergency descent. Cheers

@@boeing737pro3 hey, sir.my company training us for this example , we will descend like 10000feet, at 12000feet, Right seat will said 2000 to go, left seat will change speed to 280 or less, at 11000feet, right seat will said ,1000 to go, the position of speed rake will on the down.
