Guy.exe is my favorite and the video is HILARIOUS (was a Halloween release so you get Mad Scientist Mitch and FrankenScott). They also did an emotional cover of When In Rome's "The Promise" from the 80s (featuring Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon) as a farewell when they ended Superfruit.

Someone already said that they did this song in response to the Pulse nightclub shooting... every singer in this video is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and that was really why Scott and Mitch put this together rather than having PTX do it. Superfruit, itself, started as a vlog Scott and Mitch were doing. Both had been considering vlogging and since they were attached at the hip at the time, they decided to do it together. They got pretty big as an influencer kind of vlog, too, getting sponsorships, paid gigs and making connections with other influencers of the time. The music as a duo was introduced as a part of the vlog with musical skits and comedy and evolved into singing with friends in the business, covers that weren't right for PTX and things of that nature and culminated in their album as a duo, with songs all co-written by them loosely based on their own relationship (as kids, dating, post-dating and best friends). All the members of PTX have musical projects for things they want to explore outside the scope of Pentatonix. They agreed from the start that would be supported and encouraged so long as the group came first.

They are still in Pentatonix, Superfruit was a way to connect with fans, show their personalities, have more mature content and generally have fun, and then they put out an album. All of the members of PTX are feee to do solo projects as long as it doesn’t negatively impact Pentatonix. They haven’t made a Superfruit video since 2019 and they’re still doing Pentatonix full time.

SuperFruit is a lot of vlog like videos by Scott & Mitch, with occasional (but always spectacular) music thrown in! It’s mostly two best friends being best friends and letting us fans in on that! This was a side project, and they are both still very much a part of Pentatonix. This particular song was recorded in response to a mass shooting that happening in Orlando, Florida at Pulse, a gay nightclub. All of the singers in this video are members of the LGBTQ+ family and this was their way of sharing grief and expressing support. It’s beautiful! I only wish it was available on Apple Music!

Don't worry about any blocking or need stopping for anything Superfruit (Originally they had a Backwards 3 for the E = Sup3rfruit) don't know if there is still there or if they merged them together. SuperFruit" is Scott and Mitch !!! This wasn't part of PTX, and the label doesn't own it. You learn their personality and ever member has side projects. If you stay to the end you get to know everyone. Sometimes its just Scott and Mitch or friends they know. It started as a couple of high school kids who sang. Scott and Mitch met when they were 10, and met Kirstin around age 8. They were Community Arts Theater kids and their parents are friends as well. There is a "Beginners Guide to PTX" to learn about them. Don't know if you watch the Official video because the description gives details as this was because of the Pulse nightclub in Orlando back in 2016.

The other one that left me speechless was when Scott and Mario Jose did a duet together called "Lost On You". The genius of it that they paired that song with an entirely different track from Hans Zimmer. It is astonishing.

Fantastic reaction! Would highly recommend GUY.EXE, Imaginary Parties, Goodbye from Lonely, Bad 4 Us, Future Friends, and Deny U. Honestly anything off of the Future Friends EP, they’re all great songs and most have music videos. For some music by them that isn’t on an album, the Anti medley and Empire medley are my personal favorites, but all of them are good (Happy Little Pill, Miley Cyrus medley, etc). It was evident that this song took you somewhere and it kept pulling you and pulling you to wherever it was it took you. Truly 1 of the best reactions I have seen to this song. As a rapper I would listen to Superfruit Feeling myself. Hip hop goes to Broadway parts 1 and 2. There are bloopers for Each part so Play all the way through to the End. Also PTX cover of can't hold us has rapping in it. As people said they all have side projects. As to As to the blocking, ways that other reactors have been able to keep their videos up are pausing every 30 seconds making the screen smaller Putting filters over it changing the opacity of it If not out right blowing the entire thing. You don't have to worry about what we think as we have seen the videos many many times. I would much rather hear your reaction then to see the video because I've seen them so many times. Also people will put up a logo over the video or simply put up the words This is here for SME copyright reasons something like that. They're just suggestions

Your face said it all & is pretty much how we all felt the first time we heard it. The Superfruit channel was about being more open (they're both gay as are all of the others in this song)about showing different sides to them as well as having more artistic freedom with their music! You'll see what I mean the more you watch! Also, it rarely gets reactions but I'd love to see you reaction to their performance of the Star Wars medley from the American Music Awards! It's epic!

Loved your reaction. This song was personal for all of them. That's why you and I felt it so deeply. Superfruit, Scott and Mitch, are so talented. We watched them grow up on their channel and we loved every minute of it. All members of Pentatonix do their own projects as well as PTX. Any Superfruit song will bring you joy. From their Future Friends Album I love them all but Imaginary Parties is my favorite video, if I have to pick one. My favorite Medley they sing is Empire, although whatever they sing is phenomenal. You cannot go wrong with any of them.

Hi, Gabi, thanks for covering this one, not just a great song but an incredible, heartfelt performance. This was done following the murders in the LGTBQ+ Pulse nightclub in Orlando in 2016. Check out any of the Superfruit music (usually just Scott and Mitch plus occasionally Kirstie) - they do really fun medleys from Frozen and La La Land, they do their own "evolution" videos of Beyonce, Laday Gaga and others and a lot of fun / funny videos of original music including GUY.EXE and Hurry Up. also IMPORTANT: don't miss the outtakes / bloopers they include after their closings on a lot of their videos. Ok so Superfruit is mostly funny but this is serious one honoring those LGBTQ+ men who were gunned down at a Florida Nightclub called the Pulse. Superfruit is a weekly mostly comedy blog. Mitch and Scott were roommates during these years as they traveled around with PTX Many are super funny but when they sing it’s heavenly . Superfruits to listen to. Beyoncé, Empire Medley. (One of My favorites) My Happy Little pill Lady GaGa Anti medley. ( they cover entire Rhianna album) Defying Gravity. Mitch goes crazy as they sing this song from Broadway play. Wicked Frozen Drinking involved in this one. Feelin myself. They redo Nicki and Beyoncés rap and it’s great Hip Hop goes Broadway. One and Two are so so funny. Be sure and stay for the bloopers Superfruit got so,popular that they eventually wrote and performed an original. Superfruit album Called “Future Friends”. I love the entire album. But favorites. Are Guy Exe. , Future friends. Imaginary Parties. Goodbye from Lonely .

Superfruit was a separate channel where Mitch and Scott went to hang out together, vlog, have fun, goof off, and deal with, um, more adult topics than Pentatonix is comfortable with, like sexuality. As of Valentine's day 2019, Superfruit has disbanded, but the channel is still there, with all the videos they made. A lot of what they did is *very* funny: Their "Frozen" medley, featuring Kirstie Maldonado. GUY.EXE. "99 Ways to Ditch Your Date." When it's funny you should always stick around past the obvious end for the blooper reel. *This* song, however, was very serious for them, as you can tell. All of the singers are members of the LGBTQ+ community, and they recorded it in response to the 2016 massacre at Pulse, a Queer nightclub in Orlando, Florida. 49 people were killed and over 50 wounded. The description reads: "As music artists we are given an incredible platform with which to reach the world. One of the most inspiring and rewarding aspects of our job is the ability to make a difference in people's lives. In keeping with the spirit of why we pursued our dreams as music artists, and the positive impact we aspired to have on others, we decided to make this video with some of our closest friends in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and all of our fans who love unconditionally and see no barriers.
