Actually the first outro is Mikasa talking to Eren and the last outro is about Eren replying back to her. In the first outro there is a line in the chorus that goes “the world is cruel but very beautiful” And in the last, “the world is cruel but I love you” There’s also another line in the first that goes “Just what are we protecting?” And the last “No matter the sacrifice, I will still protect you” This proves that the two outros are connected and also shows both Eren and Mikasa’s relationship It’s sad how they despise the world they live in but found light in each other

16:13 Birds in attack on Titan are symbolic for Erens desire for freedom, you can hear in multiple openings and endings about the desire to be free by opening up your wings, and even throughout the show the Scout Regiments symbol is the Wings of Freedom. Fun fact! The first and last songs are a pair. In Mikasa’s song she says “The world is cruel… but also beautiful.” and in Eren’s song he says “The world is cruel… but I still love you.” Also, the Historia one is actually called “Akatsuki no Requiem” and it basically sums up the theme of entire series. The music video for it really hits, and the lyrics hit even harder, so I highly recommend it!

Hey Nick, when you watch the 12th episode of season 3, make sure to watch the outro. There is a surprise at the end. :) Also, I recommend looking at intros and outros again after you get caught up and look closely at them. Not necessarily in a video, you could do it on your own, but I'm just saying that it's INSANE how much detail each of them has when it comes to story. It's made that way on purpose, as a sort of 'Call and Response' as certain actions or Reactions are shown in the other. This is what makes Isayama an amazing writer, to be able to entangle this huge story and make it coherent. SPOILERS This includes both the names of the First and Last episodes of the anime, In the Manga as well has similar parallels with the last lines looping it back right to the beginning. The last outro is deffinetly my favorite outro. The lines is also from the perspective of what Eren is saying, talking about freedom while speaking to mikasa. As a fun fact Eren is answering the questions from mikasa song(the first outro). Example from mikasa song ”why are we alive and living in this cruel world?” Eren song responds as ”This world is cruel but i still love you” Mikasa song second question ”Just what are we protecting?” Eren responds ”Even if i sacrifice everything i will stil protect you” Btw the birds represent freedom in the show, as why every scene with a bird there is always Eren and/or mikasa after or before the scenes, there is always two birds or one. Like the last outro song sings when the scarf around Eren turns to a bird. ”If we have wings like birds, we could go anywhere” ”I don’t want to just live”

I love how every outro has some sort of " "spoilers" if you know what to look out for ^^ The birds are a very common motive and they stand for "freedom" which as you might know is Erens biggest desire. Man I really need you to react to "a silent voice"/ "shape of voice". It's a very emotional movie with great animations and even better music. And we all know how much you love yourself some good music. And please give "Violet Evergarden" a chance too. This is a show where you definitely will need a bunch of tissues for all those tears. No matter how emotionally scarred you are. This show awakens your emotions again. It also has awesome visuals and it's intro is one of my favourite songs of all time. But these two are a completely different genre. They are called "slice of life" and aren't action packed at all but still have you sitting on the edge of your chair ^^

The AOT outros are one of the most fitting of all anime outros, they give you a different kind of feeling than other outros. The second season outro is very creepy and mysterious and scary even, because at this point in the anime you are starting to realise how little you know about this world and its scary because how suddenly there were titans showing up inside the walls which gave you the feeling that you are never safe no matter how deep in the walls you are. (Slight spoiler) -> the drawings of this outro make more sense after you get further into the anime.

the "field of flowers" ending had some interesting opinions about it when it first came out. this ending, akatsuki no requiem, was done by linked horizon, the band that did every single opening up unto this point. each op song was its own thing but at the same time had points where leitmotifs referencing previous songs were added as well (i.e., short melodies from guren no yumiya being in jiyuu no tsubasa, and jiyuu no tsubasa being in parts of shinzou wo sasageyo, etc), which gave the overall opening themes of attack on titan their own feel. akatsuki no requiem did this same thing, referencing shinzou wo sasageyo in a portion of the song. because of all this, a lot of people didn't like red swan being an op. i think everyone eventually began to like red swan, especially the anime only watchers that had no idea what the season had in store as they saw how well it fit the mood of the season, but at the time a lot of people hated red swan and thought akatsuki no requiem should have been the opening.

The reason for so many birds is bc it symbolizes the characters in aot as a whole. It represents them bc birds are sometimes caged and bc a motif in this show is that they are like caged animals from the titans in the walls, they want to break free from this “cage” You can actually see in the final ending song that that the bird flys out of the cage and shows Eren in it, but when the song starts to get louder he is shown to be in a free field. It represents Eren wanting to be free from this cage. Man I could legit give a collage level English lecture about all the motifs and symbolisms and shit that you can find in these openings and ending and the show as a whole.

Your reactions are so relatable and it’s so cool to see someone else react so touched by a moment in the song

Everytime i hear Akuma No Ko it crushes my soul, especially backed by the ending visuals and knowing the English translation and what happens in the season and the ending. So why do I have to listen to it on repeat everyday of my life!? It gives me so much emotional damage.
