For sure. That's exactly what I find the most irritating about Pantera reactions. Multiple albums of wall to wall bangers and everyone mainly just requests the same tiny handful of music videos over and over. Maybe they get hammered with copyright. I dunno. I wish the rest of their work would get more attention. Along with Rebel Meets Rebel. Underrated album.

one of the most headbangy guitar riffs ever written
@@ForcesOfTheAbyss Intuitive my ass. Hey smart ass, not all hip hop and rap and its genres have rhythm. Some do some don’t. And not every rapper listens to just rap or likes any music (there’s a million genres, sub gwnres and micro genres with rythm) Further more, these people or couple .. whatever the hell they are, are idiots. Screaming mid range or high and even yelling in tune and with some sort of “melody” or harmony has been around for the longest. Hard rock, and metal from the 60’s , 70’s and 80’s all did that. As well as acid rock from the late 60’s and mid 70’s. Even big Mama Thorton to Husker Du and Fugazi screamed and yelled in tune and Melody and Harmony… Pantera weren’t doing anything new. They just slowed down 80’s thrash metal and added classic metal to their shit. That’s all. That’s groove metal. It’s not hard to comprehend or pinpoint.

It's always bittersweet to see people react to Pantera for the first time knowing dimebag and vinnie are no longer with us. Pantera broke up in 2001 due to issues between the singer Phil and the abbot Brothers, guitar player Darrel "Dimebag Darrel" Abbot and drummer Vinnie Paul Abbot. The abbot Brothers went on to form a new band DamagePlan but Dimebag was murdered on stage (along with three others)by a mentally ill fan at a concert in Columbus, Ohio in 2004. Vinnie Paul obviously never got over witnessing his brother be murdered right in front of him, he died of coronary heart disease in 2018. Two years ago Singer Phil Anselmo(now clean and sober) and bassist Rex Brown began performing again as Pantera with guitarist Zakk Wylde(Black Label society and Ozzy Osbourne) and drummer Charlie Benante(Anthrax) filing in for the tour.

Ive been listening to Pantera since 1990. They were one of the first bands I discovered after high school, and theyve been on my "playlist" ever since, and hearing that comment really hit the spot!
