Two great artists. Dave Gilmour was a mentor to Kate Bush and was in AIR studios when she recorded the classic "The Man with the Child in his Eyes" at just 16 which was the next big hit in the UK following "Wuthering Heights". For newbies it's an absolute must along with the video.

Hi lads, glad you enjoyed this. Taken from her 1989 album 'The Sensual World' it is one of a couple of songs in TSW that features David Gilmour (you can hear more from him on the song 'love and anger' on this album). They collaborated a few times down the years. One music journalist wrote a retrospective review for this album 30 years after it's initial release and said that this song still sounded like a miracle taking place. As well as Gilmour the song also features the wonderful 'Trio Bulgarka' on additional vocals. I think a good way to categorize 'Rocket's Tail' is to just file under the heading 'songs only Kate Bush' would do. Glad enjoyed this. Next time I will probably suggest something from her 1982 album The Dreaming:- now that is a ride!

Yeah, Kate in full on mode, Bulgarian folk music and Dave Gilmour's guitar.... It is a thing

Gilmour and Kate is classic, yet I have never heard this one. Nice find! Even though David famously “discovered” her and got her music out to the masses, there isn’t a whole lot of them performing together. There is a live version of “Running up that Hill” with both of them on stage together that is great, even though I think most of her songs are more interesting and complex than that one

So interesting and beautiful, next I think you guys would appreciate the Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel duet called Don't Give Up, it's hauntingly beautiful and potentially life-saving to anyone on the verge of heading to the other side too early✌🖤🕊
