If you listen to the backing vocals in the last chorus, you can hear Matt hit parts of it a full octave higher than the base note. Crazy high for something that sounds good.

@The_Fat_Turtle2 жыл бұрын
I embarrassed the shit out of a girlfriend who went to see Muse with me because of how excited I got when they started playing this song at a concert. I was expecting mostly new shit (it was during the Uprising tour) and I was cool with that, but hearing "new born" live about 30 feet from the band itself was something I'll never forget.

"New Born" holds a special place in my heart. It was the first song of there's that I ever heard. This would play on MTV pretty much every morning while I was getting ready to go to high school in the early '00s while I was living in Belgium

The thing about Muse is restraint. Their songs are often building, building and building towards a huge climax.. And it happens, but always with a distinct, British restraint. They kind of remain classy, always.
@thoma94102 жыл бұрын
Muse has touched upon a lot of different genres depending on which time period of music you're listening to from them. Their early stuff is a bit heavier, and that's my favorite music from them. Matt, the lead singer, has even written his version of a symphony titled "Exogenesis Symphony." You never know what you'll get with them, and their live performances are fantastic.

Nerd Alert: so back when Twilight was huge, I finally broke down and read the whole series. In it, the author said she listened to Muse while writing those books. So that’s when I checked them out. Nice reaction, and a great song but one of their more radio friendly, I'd suggest anything live to experience muse - anything from the Glastonbury 2004 show like Stockholm syndrome but bruh Citizen Erased is what I'd call their magnum opus, it's a progressive masterpiece from a hungry band, with heavy riffs, heavy bass, strings - piano and dystopian lyrics what more could you want?
