Creep was on their first album, Pablo Honey. This song was on their awesome second album, The Bends. OK Computer was their incredible third album. It goes on from there but hope this clears that up for you. Always happy for a Radiohead reaction ☮️

Great reaction guys! 'Creep' is from the debut album - 'Pablo Honey'. They got fed up with being defined by that one song and eventually stopped playing it live for several years. 'Just' is from the next album, 'The Bends'. They wrote the song 'My iron lung' as a reaction to 'Creep' about how it both 'sustained and constrained' them. I would argue that Radiohead didn't go looking for a sound that would give the the 'people what they want'. Like great artists such as The Beatles, Bowie, Kate Bush, Ren etc. they just followed their own path and the people who connected just parked up next to them at the back of Home depot! I'm not sure you're ready for it but you should listen to something from 'Kid A', the album after 'OK Computer' to see how they continued to innovate, maybe 'Everything in it's right place', go on I dare you ;-) First concert - Siouxie and the Banshees, supported by early Human League.

Jamie Thraves wrote and directed Just Say. In an interview in last year he said “I do actually want to reveal the answer, you see, that’s why it’s been a strange burden and yet also wonderful to be the only person who knows,” he added. “It’s like I stumbled upon the answer to the universe, perhaps I did. Please don’t make me tell you. You don’t want to know.”

Great to hear one of their classics. This was from "The Bends" which also had "Street Spirit" on it which you loved so much. Then came "OK Computer" with "Paranoid Android", "Karma Police" and "No Surprises". All different but all classics. But then they decided hey we want to change so the next step would be "Everything in its Right Place" the opening song from the next album "Kid A". Or "Pyramid Song" which is an atmospheric masterpiece. Radiohead are a genre of their own

Radiohead evolved from the early 90's grunge era, 3 guitar attack, killer wall of sound, and totally created their own genre of music over the next 25 years - 5 of their 9 albums have been on the 'Rolling Stone Top 500 Albums of All Time' - even if you take such polls with a grain of salt, it is a pretty epic accomplishment and speaks to just what kind of band you're dealing with here. Same 5 guys since HS in 1985, still together same 5 setup almost 40 years later....such a rare thing in popular and rock music, and part of how they've managed to develop their sound, style, and keep it fresh and experimental while still having that core sound intact.

‘You’ is my favorite song on Pablo Honey. ‘Planet Telex’ my favorite song on this album, but ‘Just’ is my second favorite. Motley Crue and Warrant was my first concert… Civic Arena in Pittsburgh 1989, I was 13 years old Nooo don’t sleep on my man Jonny Greenwood! Thom is great and gets most of the attention, but Jonny is a brilliant composer 😊

Love "You" as well - a banging opener - and the acoustic version when Thom and Jonny were going out promoting for the bends and doing a bunch of acoustic performances, it is a treasure. I am a mediocre guitar player but am proud I figured out how to play "You" on the acoustic - if only I could sing - that's the problem with figuring out RH songs on guitar, once you get them (and plenty are HARD) then you are stuck like, now I have to attempt to follow Thom's vocals? Ya just do your best and enjoy the ride - YOU is so fun to play and is a definite big time highlight from 'Pablo Honey'.

Love Radiohead. The best thing about about the UK alternative rock/indie groups of the 90s is they all had good lyrics. Which highlighted the mood of the time. Still I would really like you to review some earlier stuff on the indie/alt UK music scene. "Creep" is from their first album, "Pablo Honey" (1993). It's very heavy/grungy and influenced by bands like Pixies and Sonic Youth. "Just" and "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" are from their second album, "The Bends" (1995) which is still in that guitar-centric area but a bit more mellow, with more acoustic stuff. Then came "OK Computer" (1997), with "Paranoid Android", "Karma Police" and "No Surprises". It's a more complex and experimental sound, but still focused on guitars and keyboard textures. The big shift came from "Kid A" (2000) on, in which they basically citched the guitars and began exploring electronic and avant-garde sounds.

Creep was on the debut Panlo Honey and is different from most of their catalog. There are only a couple of really good songs on Pablo, so this album was a surprise at how incredible it was. It's still my favorite. The band formed in 1985, but didn't release Pablo Honey until 1993. They only have 9 albums. Eceryine lay down because of what he said which was intentionally kept unheard to make you create your own reason. "Radiohead songs usually begin as a sketch by Yorke, which is harmonically developed by Jonny Greenwood before the rest of the band develop their parts." - The New Yorker 2008 via Wikipedia.

So essentially pablo honey was kids in a garage one sound 90's feel creep made them big 6 album deal. Then came the bends an awsome album that showed what they can do its chill and rocky but the seeds of experimentation was there for ok computer a total concept album. Kid A total experimentation amnesic is the kid a b sides, hail to the thief is a mismash of styles of everything that came before. The 6 album deal was done which allowed radiohead to produce in rainbows "the free album" themselves or otherwise known as the happy album they did a live from the basement version of this. Then came king of limbs another mishmash album like hail to the theif. Lastly a moon shaped pool perhaps their most beautifully sad album.

Critically it didnt do as well because people were expecting another Creep, but most Radiohead super fans feel the albums kept getting better and better and most super fans think of Creep as one of their least favorite song by Radiohead. Its a good song, but the super fans are super fans because they connect with the newer style more.

Radiohead did not explore various styles to find success, they explore various styles for their own artistry and interest and success follows them because their fans follow them due to their insane level of talent and artistry. Creep is from album 1 Pablo honey…Yorke from interviews appears to not like that song. Just is from the Bends, album 2. From OK Computer onward it is a constant evolution of avant garde experimentation. IMO, the greatest band of all time. Even their deep cut b-sides are gems. Guys as far as the overall Radiohead sound you need to ignore Creep ENTIRELY. NOTHING else they did sounded like Creep, and the band actually HATE Creep because it's so unrepresentative of who they are and what they do. They had no intention of putting the song on the album, their first Pablo Honey and definitely didn't want it to be a single but the record company did and a legend was born and the band were stuck with it. Also, no Thom was NOT into that straight edged religious fundamentalist bull💩 not AT ALL. AMERICANS do that simple minded nonsense not us Brits who actually get an education. Finally, Thom writes lyrics and guitarist Jonny Greemwood writes the music.
