If I had to make some recommendations I’d highly recommend “Let Down” which has a moment where Thom’s voice literally always gives me chills, “No Surprises” which has a very deceptively positive sound to it, “Climbing Up The Walls” which has an excellent portrayal of anxiety through music, “How To Disappear Completely” which is just a gorgeous song, “All I Need” which is my second favourite and just sounds amazing (Highly recommend you list to the Basement version) and my personal favourite Radiohead song, “Daydreaming” which is just pure emotion with a beautifully somber sound to it.

Same. If you haven't heard it already, I love their live performance of it from the Ten Spot. Interesting side note: Radiohead has said that Street Spirit is their only song that doesn't have any hope in it. I have to imagine that's why it's so tear-inducing. It's just tragic darkness, beginning to end, with no relief. Sure is gorgeous though...

When you mention "No Surprises" I just have to tell a life changing story connected to this song for me. OK computer was released the summer of 1997, and then my we were expecting our first child. Both my wife and I were listening a lot to the record and "No Surprises" was my favourite song on the record. In December, my wife's pregnancy had complications. And eventually in december the doctors decided that they needet to do Caesarean 11 weeks prior to the term. I was asked to sit outside the operating room so that I would be there for my son when he got out because he would need body contact to improve the likelihood of him surviving. In the hall I was waiting in, there was an elevator with an alarmsound that was just the same sound as the opening sound on "No surprises". Then of course my head was full of this song and I thought please "no surprices" now. There was a few surprices over the next three months, but my son was strong as he is also now. And that song will forever be one of my favourite songs with the most powerful connetion ever!

Ten years ago, Radiohead's drum technician, Scott Johnson, died when their stage collapsed, shortly before they were due to perform in Toronto. One night, as the band had returned to the city, they demanded answers over his death. "The people who should be held accountable are still not being held accountable," Thom Yorke told fans."The silence is [expletive] deafening." The band then held a minute's silence before playing Karma Police. Pointing at a photo of some govt official dragging their feet at the time on the Jumbotron …. ‘Karma Police, arrest this man…’

Pumpkins and Radiohead became popular right around the same timeframe. Siamese Dream which had Disarm and Today and Mayonnaise and Radiohead's song Creep came out around 93, but were considered more alternative rock than grunge. Radiohead from UK and Pumpkins from Chicago. Off hand I'm not sure which Radiohead songs you've reacted to, but Fake Plastic Trees, High & Dry, Paranoid Android, No Surprises and Let Down are great songs. I'll agree that both Thom and Corgan have such unique voices, but I feel Corgan's is more whiny.

Did you say Instant Karma? That’s a great John Lennon song btw This whole album (OK Computer) is one of my favorites ever. When I was in art school, one of my teachers used to play it in class… which sounds like a very art school thing to do 😆 The first three songs are like some kind of holy Trinity to me… Airbag, Paranoid Android (which y’all did for my birthday last year 😊) and Subterranean Homesick Alien, which I always say is like the musical equivalent of a lava lamp (seriously when you hear it you’ll know what I’m talking about)… No Surprises is another favorite on that album, but… given Smokey’s fear of drowning idk if he should watch the official video 😩😆 Then there’s Planet Telex and Just from their album The Bends… love those too! I think y’all would like the beat in Planet Telex 😊 Haven’t seen the video for this song in awhile but from what I recall, it’s just Thom Yorke sitting in the backseat of a moving car (chasing a dude or something…?)

well earned pat on the back Hollywood 😅 Radiohead was classed as Indy pop in the UK with their first 2 albums, but..they've become steadily more prog rock/experimental as they've gone on. Oh, the ending of this song...it leads in to a spoken word AI voice poem called Fitter Happier and the crashing computer noise sort of carries over before getting faded out entirely

It's Been 9 Months Since you guys Reacted to Radiohead. I recommend ''How to Disappear Completely'' for the next future Radiohead Reaction. Whenever it feels right -Neil Fallon 😏 Fyi, Listening to sad or chill music actually does the opposite if you are feeling depressed. Strange as it may sound its truth. Biologically, sad music and crying have a lot to do with our hormones. The prolactin hormone is associated with crying and it helps curb grief. It produces a feeling of calmness by trying to fight the mental stress. I definitely understand Hollywood's Music Taste. Nothing Wrong With Chill Music Vibes Relaxing Drinking a cold glass of beer/wine reflecting on the day & what's to come. On that note I recommend Listening To Windwaker -''Love Language''

A person explained to me that the common understanding of karma is that a person gets what they deserve, to put it simply. And under that concept, you would need to include people like rape victims, homicide victims, and children with cancer to name a few. I think a better idea is that things happen and that it. Because let's face it; bad thing happen to those who don't deserve it, and good things happen to those who don't.
