Any suggestions on how to set up stock se suspension for a 240lb rider? Mainly trail and dune riding and I like to jump.

Almost all sport atvs are tuned for 175lb rider. But even if you are 175lbs there is still some tricks that can be done to make them the best for your riding style and skill level. You could start by setting ride height. I do 7.5 pegs 8” under the radiator. If you can’t get the ride height set it’s best to go ahead and send the shocks for to rocket ron to get valved / sprung for your weight. For trail riding go ahead and back the low speed adjuster all the way out. Loosen the rebound at the bottom of the shock to speed up the travel. High speed compression is personal preference

I looked up that tool for Castor adjustment. For XC riding, what would be a good starting point for a sport quad. Zero? Little bit neg/or positive? Not many people doing videos on setup/ settings for sport quads.

I need to get that tool and figure it out. With that you then go by degree. Houser racing may have an answer. It is on my list to buy.

hey limitless powerpsorts. I have a concern i want to confide in you. these yfz 450s, many youtube content creators say the clutch is a ticking time bomb, they claim to say the clutch basket is no good. Im just asking you if that would be a good idea to swap out the factory basket for a hickson clutch. I have a 2024 yfz450r by the way. Would really appreciate your help because im scared on if my brand new bike's clutch will explode and ill have to jump thousands of dollars just to fix it and im scared to invest in such an expensive clutch, id really appreciate your help on this. Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.

there is the normal hickson clutch basket and there is the hickson clutch kit

I have personally never got a phone call bike from a YFZ 450r I sold that the clutch basket exploded. I do have upgraded Hinson clutch baskets in my YFZ 450r I race. If you have the budget it’s not a bad idea to swap out known weak points. But as far as it being your first mod day one. I would do big 3 first

On my 19 450 R does the vortex delete the tip sensor and speed sensor ?

The speed sensor I believe it ignores, the tip you have to go in and select to turn off. I will write this down for the next YFZ 450r video coming up. I have a brand new Vortex I need to plug into the PC to set TPS voltage.

hey bro i got a brand new 2024 yfz 450 r se could you tell me what is the best exhaust i can get ? and if i would need an optimizer. if so could you tell me what settings to set it to ? your help would be deeply appreciated. i would also like to know what mods to install to make the bike faster

All of the big names for exhaust are within 1hp of each other. I use dasa, rossier, RP race. Yes I would definitely get a programmer. If you are on a budget the optimization from hmf may get you by but I would not pay new price for it $80 maybe. You are going to want to upgrade to a power commander with a custom map or a vortex. Remove you air box lid and get a dual stage UNI air filter at the same time.

You would have to get on the list with me and go over what all you are looking to get. Long travel shocks are custom built for the riders weight and riding style $1,100 so it needs to be set up for the rider the first time. Total build cost was around $19,500
