Hey. Thanks for the review. Just bought a used 2009 SE with 184 hrs. Looks to be in mint shape. Any maintenance you think I need to do on it? Also how many hours before I need to think about internal engine wear replacement?

Nice! Really wished I would’ve kept my 2009 that I had, I love that digital speedometer. Nice find. Those are pretty rare. I think it’s always a good thing first off to go ahead and change the oil and filter so you know how many hours you’ll have, and you can track your engine hours with the digital gauge, make sure the chain and sprockets are good, proper tension, and chain is lunricated, make sure it has a case saver, make sure you’ve got plenty of coolant, And have a good clean air filter. Also check your front wheel bearings, a arm bushings, and rear axle bearings. I’ll actually be posting a video on Sunday on these things. Those are great questions. You can download the owners manual from Yamaha and it’ll let you know about the service intervals for the motor. Good luck and enjoy!

As long as you are looking at 2015 and newer they are identical mechanically. Just find the best deal you can on the cleanest quad you can. Ive seen nice Raptors in that year range as low as $4800 on Markertplace. But they go fast. Literally.

How many hours are on your 09 now? Has there been any internal engine work done to it?

I dont have it any longer. It has close to 400 on it when I sold it. I am not sure what they previous owner did. I didnt have any engine work done. It had plenty of power but I could also tell it was particularly well cared for from the previous owner. So they are pretty scrappy. If you look on my channel, I just bought a 2007 recently that was also very poorly maintained. And still runs really well and is in pretty good shape considering. They seem to be very durable quads if at least somewhat maintained.
