Did this to a 100 Series but went a lot further with custom forged decompressed pistons', blue printed engine, tuned ceramic coated extractors etc. Unbelievable fun to drive but the 25 litres per hundred of 98 was not so enjoyable. Was blistering fast for a Land Cruiser . Amazing on and off road. It could be economical if you could control you right foot. Never managed that for any length of time. You no doubt know all of these quirks by now. Enjoy.

Awesome post mate, there's surprisingly little content available for those wanting to S/C Hilux's so big props for making the effort to share. I've been on that journey myself over the last 2 years, I have a 2016 N80 1GR-FE (one of the very last) with a Magnusson S/C kit (the TRD one) and it was the best addition I ever made (though it was an expensive exercise). Similar exhaust and snorkel and the same airbox. That PSICO airbox made a massive improvement to performance, should have got one years ago. Going back for another ECU remap in the next month or so.. it never ends.. :-)

Been scratching my head for years due to the lack of content out there so thought I’d have a crack. I’d absolutely love to have that setup in a N80, would be unreal!! Wished they kept making them with the 1GR!

@@HaydnKamp Our Rams and Chevys, HDs and so forth have some ridiculous numbers in terms of torque and HP... and yes, these trucks are designed for work and get used for that purpose, plus some fun on the weekends. And we're seeing an increasing trend of 2 and 3-liter turbos V6 engines generating some interesting numbers.
