Harrier IIs, Goshawks and Super Hornets, the jets McDonnell Douglas built, :Happy to see Harriers still in operation.
@splinter5352Ай бұрын
Sorry for the lack of knowledge there, but the Goshawks are British built versions of our own hawk trainers but with modifications for USA use. The harrier too is a development of the Harrier mks 1to9 British designed and built but used by your own marine corps as Harrier ones. The Hornets are of course McDonnell built and very nice too.
@delten-eleven1910Ай бұрын
@splinter5352 Yes, the Harrier and Hawk are British designed and built. The Goshawk was a US adaptation built for the Navy and the Harrier II was a collaboration between US and UK, I like the beefed up Hawk into the Goshawk and the Harrier is legendary, it was retired from RAF too soon, I'm glad the US Marines still use them.
@RCAvhstapeАй бұрын
@@delten-eleven1910 AV-8B was built by McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri. The AV-8B, officially the "Harrier II", is an American redesign and upgrade to the original Hawker Harrier, and the two aircraft are very different. Look up photos of AV-8A vs. AV-8B. British Aerospace was a subcontractor on the Harrier II, only building certain subassemblies. The T-45 was a joint project between MDD and BAe.
@delten-eleven1910Ай бұрын
@@splinter5352 Actually the majority of the USN Goshawk was built McDonnell Douglas and components were made by BAe in the UK with final assembly out of MD's St. Louis facility.
