This is awesome! That picture was taken at the Monterrey Jazz Fest. I was playing with Betty Carter during that time and B.O.B Hurst used my bass. I remember seeing this quartet live at Yoshi's in Oakland...Branford, Watts, Hurst and Kirkland were in rare form!!! OUTSTANDING SHOW!

Kenny is insane as usual at these tempos, the ideas transcend stupid theory at this point, it's like recursive composition, compositions within a composition.... Wish there was a full recording of this....
