Working at our fully equipped workshop in Kent we carry out tasks including Panel beating, Body work, Mig Welding, Sheet metal Spot Welding, Fabrication, Chassis Repairs, Sand Blasting, Engine and Mechanical repairs, Reconditioning, Restoration and Structural repairs on the Celette Jig Dozer frame machine.

I have a 1994 soft dash lse that use to belong to Paul McCartney from the beetles!! They are very nice but check the back doors as if they have any rust you’ll find it very hard to find new ones the lpg system isn’t great from the year of it I’m guessing it’s a single point injection the muitlpoint is a far better system if you’d like to know anything about the Range Rover classic’s let me know as I work on them every day👍🏻

It won’t be a weekend project more along the lines of a couple of months check the inner and outer sills along with the a pillar and b pillar and the bulkhead will be rotten if the carpets are wet but that can be fixed!

Something like an LSE Soft Dash complete with the BROOKLANDS BUMPER KIT, and twin airbags, plus fully efficient working EAS in mint Condition, could be worth around £25000.00 Seeing as there were not many built. A lot went to the USA. BUY IT, RESTORE IT! AND KEEP IT.

Get ready for lost of welding... aluminium panels always make them look in good condition until you pull them apart! Areas which go are the inner front wings and the bonnet frame, the cills and like you said in the video, the areas around the bottom of posts. The rear floor and arches always go and there’s loads of info on how it’s done, it’s basically built just like the old discovery which is parked next to it, all the repair panels can be bought cheap...air suspension can be expensive to put right and I’m sure this will need bags and a compressor but it’s a must on the LSE in my opinion! I really hope You do this as it will make great watching, good luck and I hope it’s not out you off..

I think the queen has one of these. If it’s good enough for “her maj” it should be good enough for you. So long as the engine, gearbox and suspension work, it should be worth it. The suspension actually has a “sit down” mode to make it easier to get in and out of, something else to check I suppose once you get it running. Would love to see the long term restoration. Hope you get it for a decent price. 😃 The road tax is £265 but will need to go through the MOT first before you can tax it, and god knows how much that’s going to cost! Maybe you can use that as a bargaining chip with the owner? Unless he has off road storage he’ll probably get clamped within a couple of hours of it being on the street. Hope that helps

@@sruk I love your channel and you have some great rebuilds. I used to do salvage back in the 90's but moved over to Poland in 2003 and at my age now just buy some classics for a light refurb. Mostly Mercedes now. Europe has some great old motors that have been looked after and the choice is huge. Older cars which had Mom and Pop owners are in big supply so buying some car like your RR would be a big No. Maybe for your channel great interest and your choice and would of course watch with interest. Keep up the good work and the splendid videos.

If you click the LPG switch on and off rapidly two or three times you can start it on gas..... My LPG conversion mechanic said that that is a feature for when you run out of petrol and you have no choice but to start it on gas.... plus I've noticed it's fitted with cruise control vacuum system which means you'll have to change all the perished rubber pipes to get that to work properly! Plus the LPG system is a single point injection which means the gas is fed into the air intake system through the big plenum chamber which is why you have a K&N style air filter fitted which can cope with any backfiring issues due to poor ignition leads & plugs ect. On my 3.9l I have replaced all of the ignition leads and distributor cap and rotor and have replaced the K&N air filter with the original air filter box and I now have no backfiring issues and it runs sweet as a nut.

When you said ‘it’s quite poor’ at around 6 minutes I thought - the bodywork looks a damn sight better than many I’ve seen - especially the tailgate! It’s really only when you start poking underneath and places like the inner and outer arches, bottom of c pillars and floor that the horrors can begin.

Has to be done mate. What a unique classic that will be worth serious money if its restored right and you have an excellent base car. And excellent content for the Channel as well. Personally I would junk all the gas system as the cables perish, ECUs get flustered and the water heater system always causes problems after a few years. I bought a 2004 Laguna Tourer about 4 years ago, it had failed the MOT and I bought it for a nett £100 from the scrap yard the day it arrived as they gave me £200 for my car! Spent about £300 on service parts, fixed the gas ports in the inlet manifold and its run like a top ever since. Hope you land it mate.

Only buy it if you believe you can make profit out of it, not solely for the channel. Its more of an investment than a quick flip, these will be worth decent dollar in years to come because most have rotted away/been scrapped/trashed off road.

Dont want to be a neigh sayer but it wants one of everything. These things were 40k + when new and people at the end of the life run them on a shoe string. If they have riveted patches on the sills, what have they done where you can't see? Would be nice to see it saved but will be more than it's worth.

Full restoration once you start taken bits off it will only lead to something else need doing! Boot floor, rear shock mounts, side sills, front sills, foot well, inner wheel arches, full strip down and rebuild

Nice motor, I'd say it was worth restoring, aslong as the price is right. Only thing is, it's been sat outside for 7 years and it could quite easily turn into a money pit. The boot floor is also quite worrying. It's alot of work, time and effort but it depends what you want out of it. If it's for profit then it's a gamble

Rob, As long as the chassis is ok, engine not seized and gearbox ok, then everything else is readily available and working on them is easy. I restored a 1994 Discovery. People love Land Rovers. You too by the sound of it. Good for you, your channel and you should make money. 👍

LSE is long wheelbase. The Last of that Style Ranger rover 1994 / 5 . Every RANGE ROVER is RARE & Valuable. early 2 dr cars are Now HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER AT ANY PRICE/ Any Condition. You just need a Chassis & Log Book / V5. & away You Go upto £150,000 . People will Pay Whatever it Takes to buy a Nice 2dr Range Rover. The Best are high Compression , With PAS, 1973 / 4 /5 Models & early 1976. up to ' P' reg. Low Comp' models are Half the car . Back in the day Buyers Traded in their old one for New, Then Hated it & Traded Back to the 1973 - 1976. High Comp Models. 1971 / 72 Were Plastic seats & NO POWER STEERING !! Brushed Nylon Brown Seats denote PAS, Look for a 3rd Gear stick, = OVERDRIVE ! Buy that Car !! usually Fairey overdrives were fitted. O / D on 3rd & 4th Via the ' Fairey -stick. ' ON this Car , Inspect the Front BODY MOUNTS. Very Hard to Access to Repair. New Chassis are Available, & used ones. BUT the Body mounts Need to be Mint / Fully Repaired. ( Rear ones SAME but not as hard to get to. ) Throw away the Air Suspension & Fit Original Coils All Round. OTHERWISE it WILL HANDLE WORSE THAN A CANAL BARGE. JUST GET RID of AIR Suspension. It's TOTAL CRAP . A KIDS TOY GIMMICK. SURE to BREAK. Te Rear Air Suspension Is the BIGGEST FAILING of the Discovery TD5. Otherwise a BRILLIANT CAR. The Front Goes Exactly Where you Point It, The Rear Hasn't got a clue what to do, it wobbles & wavers& Upsets the car's natural Balance. RETRO FIT Old Style RANGE ROVER COILS & SHOCKERS. ALL ROUND. Air Suspension Hammered the Value of the LSE 20 Yrs ago. to SCRAP Value. HENCE VERY Few Survivors. A BMW Plan to WRECK LandRover Name & Sales. & REPUTATION, While they Stole all the Secrets of Excellent 4 WD Technology from Landy Drawing Boards &Advanced Vehicle Designers.
