ERNIE IS A SERIOUS LEGEND-I SAW HIM BACK IN 1990 ON 42NDSTREET AFTER THE NEW MSUIC SEMINAR TAKING PHOTOS OF THE HIP HOP CELEBS THAT WERE OUT IN THE STREET AFTER THE BATTLE FOR WORLD SUPREMACY MC AND DJ BATTLE.

Around this same time in 2002 I was cutting school. Long story short Ernie gives me a crazy lecture for cutting school and gives me a book and signs it. I’ve keep that book until this very day. it’s now 2022 20yrs later same time frame and he’s dropped another book. I’m going to link Ernie sometime this year with his new book and share our story. 🗽🔥

Amazing interview! A hip hop legend full of amazing stories. Ordering this book asap. I hope he releases them portraits in a book as well. Update: Just ordered the book off Amazon. Right now it’s only $19.99 if anyone is interested.

Yo that hip hop legend title gets thrown around like it's nothing!... The man was a photographer, since when snapping pictures made you a hip hop legend?....

Good question. 45 years of documenting Hip Hop for Future Generations, being inducted into the Hip Hop Hall of Fame, being given the Universal Zulu Nation Human Soul Award, getting the Source 360 Icon Award along with Kool Herc and Rakim Allah and winning the Big Apple Film Festival for my film, "The Other Side of Hip Hop". Working for decades to bring Peace and stop Violence with Gang Summits. 100 years from now my images will be how future generations look back at Hip Hop. Maybe that explains my mission.

💯%Correct big bro. Not that you should ever have to explain. You've earned it all from hard work & dedication.
