I'd do the picker with the MTA because it is a live PTO. The M has the power but if the picker starts to gag and you stop it plugs. Amazing how many pickers have bent sheet metal from the points driving into the dirt on a bend in the field.

Someone below said the H is a '47, but check the hood... I see a small hole where the 1 gallon gasoline fuel tank filler would be on an early distillate tractor ('38 ish?), so I think that part of the tractor doesn't match.

@@FarmallFanatic I do remember one mid December when because of bad weather we were still picking corn with several inches of snow on the ground which was only partially frozen. I was in high school at the time and had to help my dad who was pulling the one row Woods Bros. picker and grain wagon with our 49 JD A. We had to hook a 30 foot log chain to the front frame of the A with the other end hooked to the drawbar of our 47 B which I drove along ahead of the A and picker in order to pull the A through soft spots when it broke through the partially frozen ground. It was quite a deal but we got the corn out without getting hopelessly mired up.
