What a beauty!!!! As a teenager I worked in the Part's Department at my dad's Lincoln Mercury dealership 1975-1979, what an era of magnificent cars, and right across the street was the Ford dealership.

I had a 77 Lincoln Town Car this same color. It ran great on the highway but could be difficult to park in a parking lot. The ride was smooth and relaxing. It had a factory 8 track stereo and leather seats. It was a big car but handled like a small car. Other drivers would make way when they see this car coming. Drove it from 1984 to 1996. One time in a hail storm the hail put little holes in the soft top ruining it. Sold it in 96. I should have kept it.

If I’m not mistake, they called that texture roof material is Lugano or as we used to call it, pigskin, it was a special order extra cost option. They had them on the 78 Mustang, the 78 Cougar and Thunderbird and the Mark V Bill Blass edition. I’ve only seen one other TC with this roof treatment. I’m sure if he does a Marty report, he will see just how rare this car is.

You know I'm a Caddy guy, but this Lincoln is really sweet. Love the color !! Sergio is lucky to get it. PS. I stopped in Brian's yesterday. He has a beautiful Rolls Royce in the showroom which has my name on it (I could dream, right?)

That seems to be a '78, Bill. Roof vinyl texture should be pigskin...I think Lincoln was still calling it that by then.

This is a 1978… the silver finish on the upper part of the instrument panel and colors are 78. Cinnamon Gold Moondust Metallic with Chamois coach roof and Chamois Media Velour. Chamois color wasn’t even available in the 79 Lincoln lineup.
