Happy ending for all! So rare nowadays, how enjoyable, even if just fantasy, to feel everything works out for the best for everyone and that there is hope! 👏

No special effects, no super heroes. Just an excellent cast with a superb story and a genuine concert pianist in his only film. Sheer joy. ❤❤❤

Probably ves all it takes to make a great movie is great writing and acting. I rarely see a current movie that is good. Maybe one movie a year if that. I always return to this era.

This picture was wonderful !! I had never seen it before but I'll watch it again! This story, and dozens like this, proves that being blood related doesn't always make you family, but love, respect, and caring do.

A good and interesting story, well written and acted; without the annoying-moralizing or melodramatics. …I enjoyed all of the Characters, and their portrayals! Real-Love is priceless! Thanks!!

Adolphe Menjou is always a delight to watch; so many fun movies from the late 30s through the mid 40s.
@davidgladstone6588Ай бұрын
Menjou started in 1914 and was in some great films like Morning Glory in 1933 which made Hepburn a star and Biillie Burke was a Zugfeld follies star who married Flo Zigfeld and was in more good films than I can count.

What a beautiful rental for $400/month. I love the way they all pooled their money when they were used to paying $35/mo. Reminds me of summer vacations renting an 8 bedroom oceanfront McMansion with pool with 8 couples and how much cheaper it was than the cost of a hotel. Great plot.

The actor playing the part of Bill Cotter was Clayton Moore. He would later become famous for playing the Lone Ranger.

Similar plot lines but different writers. Bachelor's Daughters was written by Andrew Stone. (He was the director and producer too) How To Marry A Millionaire was written by Nunally Johnson.
