The boring answer is the random number generator. RNGs use "seed values" to generate random numbers, and a lot of online games (phone and computer) go cheap on RNG, using free ones in the public domain, rather than spend to create their own. The problem with the free RNGs is that while they are balanced over millions of generations they are prone to short term streaks (of similar numbers) in the tens or hundreds of checks level. The streaks can occur anywhere on the full range of the probability which is why the evidence of them disappears at the millions of check level, as streaks balance each other out from the seeds changing over time (they use things like the time, internal hardware and software numbers unique to the phone, etc. Factored together to where you and the person next to you with the exact same device type have very different RNG seeds. But that is little comfort when you go 3 legendary raids in a row with no catch, while the guy next to you gets a hundo and a shiny from the same raids). I've been with groups on community days where one or two people get only a couple shines, most everyone else gets about 10-15, and one person ends up with 30-50. All with the same amount of work.

IDK, that Nosepass can be gotten throughout the world and year (to some degree with lure). That Mime, I think that is the one would've put you over. I am in the US and don't see Mr. Mime...much less a shiny. Was a fun video, thank you everyone for sharing

I also was able to get a Shiny Ray! I was downtown and over heard someone say the hundo was 2190 so when I got the 2191 I was like OMG so close then I checked the IVs and I was shaking.
