He gets stronger as he builds up showing his abilty to incrase his damage as he sets up his combo. What I think is his champ spell is HUGE MISS. In lol it brings you and your allies to battle or out of battle. Here you don't get allies it just gives spells. other than that... rune prison... green rune is his Q, with purple rune he has a lot of mana ... its nice but champion spell is terrible

Runeterra is by far the most F2P friendly competitor on the market too, you can build a top tier deck shortly after playing and you can easily get a full collection as a F2P player

A forgoten interaction is that if you have dead darkin champs(kayn and varus) and u equip them to units Assimulate literaly revives them back YOU CAN REVIVE 3 LCHAMPS FROM EQUIPMENTS MAN and it levels up kayn to rhaaust by default Imagine u just summoned kayn Next round play world ender You now have level 2 aatrox and a rhaaust now (level 2 kayn darkin form)

1. while not talking about reviving, they did talk about pouring the Blade on something to get an Aatrox. 2. you can’t revive 3 champs at once, as the Darkin Champs count as their own region, meaning you only get 2 at max.

The funniest thing is comparing Darius to Aatrox when they’re the same cost, have the same level 1 stat line , Darius just has overwhelm while Aatrox has regen, yet Aatrox’s level 2 just has entirely better stats than Darius, in addition to all the extra things he can do that Darius can’t.

If i remember correctly if you put a darkin weapon on a Level 1 champion and do World Ender, it will also auto level the champions instead of turning into the darkin.

That's correct. Which means you could play Aatrox, Kayn and Varus, equip each of them with a new darkin weapon and give their weapons to a bunch of 1-drops, then use World Ender to turn your board into six levelled, equipped champions.

My opinion of the champs as a LoR player: With Kayle I think if she leveled up as soon as she hits 11 power instead of round-start she would be a lot better. Spending 6 mana and hoping she lives is just too much. Ryze is fine where he is imo, because we really dont want him to be too viable. Aatrox should not heal when you play him, that is just weird. I also think that if some of the better weapons (cough, Harp, Spear and Aegis cough cough) get nerfed he should be fine. Important is that Vayne also gets hit and brought down to a 3/3 or something.

this is proof that if you know 1 card game you kind of know the others, as an old yugioh player, i kind of figured the same as rarran, even if there are huge differences between the games. when i heard aatrox is basically free with his sword and he can spawn in a bunch of himself as well along with other darkins and such for basically free once he's on board, i knew he was busted. that would be like if other decks in yugioh basically had a "summon all your bosses" card.

He correctly calls Aatrox out as busted even without realizing that he also gets stats and Regeneration from his weapon. How did this monstrosity get through QA, you ask? Well, Riot knew World's would be a flop if Seraphine dominated it so they released an entire expansion with a super busted champ that works really well against her and, presto, World's is new and exciting because no one is tired of Aatrox yet.

Btw Ryze is better than stats show. I believe Ryze has a good chance to see tournament play. I have a really good WR with Ionia Ryze against aatrox decks. I'm around 100 lp masters with it but I recently changed my deck for the better so I expect to climb to like 300 lp. It is really abusable by aggro decks though, I have like 10% wr vs jinx-draven so this deck will never be S tier (thankfully).

aatrox is pretty meta defining, but i would say he is nowhere near as bad as kaisa and seraphine after they got released. You get to kill him, even if he is going to revive 1 or 2 turns later, you get advantage on tempo, and you even has a chance to counter his broken spell. Full power Kaisa was inpossible to kill with her 3 mana burst spellshield, and seraphine with 0 mana would still outplay you playing 50 cards for free. Aatrox is busted sure, but you can defeat him without feeling cheated out as hard as the other 2.

I honestly don’t mind how OP Aatrox decks are, because it’s usually Vayne that pushes it over the top. But the big thing is that, to reliably play World Ender the opponent has to play in a way that you can *interact with*! He doesn’t level up in deck without you ever playing him, you can stop the Assimilate, but not him levelling, he’s gonna be going to combat or Striking, so freezing actually works against him. He enables you to play early game buffs that turn into late game threats, but you *can* deal with those threats, or even outpace them with the right deck! It’s not like Ezraphine, which just throws up randomly generated BS and kills you at burst speed. Even though I’m like 1-8 vs his decks, I’m never annoyed to see them, because they are still fun matches to play out.

It's probably easier to understand the cards if you watch their trailers before reading the details. They can be a bit misleading sometimes since every champion look awesome in their trailers, but at least you will have an idea of how they work in just a minute or two.

@@Rarran I think they meant, going forward, you could watch the trailer instead of only watching the card itself, as it also reveals 4-5 cards that works well with the champ, and it doesn't take too long. (Also it explains the mechanics, and shows examples for the interactions)
