My Dad was the epitome of this song. Never met a man who had so much adversity in his life who just kept Standing up when knocked down. He worked from 13 years old on. As a young man had to pick up his abusive drunk father out of the alley after he passed out. He was a soldier wounded many times in war. He had three heart attacks and a stroke. Lost a child as a baby. Lost my mom to cancer and took care of her until she died. He lost a son-in-law who was like a son. Almost lost his farm several times because of poor health. He never drank and never hit us kids. He loved us and hugged us and he stood for as long as he could and then when he couldn’t I proudly pushed him around in a wheelchair. We took care of him until last six months of his life when we finally had to put him in a nursing home. He lived to 92 and now he lives forever with Jesus. I love you Dad and I hope I’m half the man you were.

I hadn't been able to cry for some time, this made me shed a few tears. Your dad kept pushing through and "STAND"ing". May he hear His voice, and come out of the grave in the resurrection to a better life. John 5: 28 and 29.

Opened my old Rascal Flatts folder on my drive, and turned on this song. I totally forgot how amazing it is. Modern country music from the 2000s used to be so unique and powerful and special. Now, there are so few country songs with those qualities. Most of the songs on country radio have the same recycled sounds and beats, and none of them have any actual substance.

This is a inspirational song.. I'm a domestic survivor and this has always struck me as a encouraging song to other victims and/or survivors of abuse.. You get pushed so far and then you get mad you get strong walk away don't look back point of no return and then you stop being the victim and you STAND strong and proud as a SURVIVOR!

I hear you. It's hard to realise that it's whole family involved in domestic violence, we get physical violence but also emotional violence from a spouse and chronic fear for children.we are programmed to use words and emotion to attack I think, others use their fists. Devastating. We need to keep talking about this.

This song completely tears at me, cause I've been feeling kinda helpless lately, like I don't have a place in the world. But this reminded me that NO ONE has a place in the world until they MAKE one. I plan to be a writer, and this band really helps with a lot of their songs. My talent is writing, and I wanna fight for it. It's tough, but for everyone who's ever had something they love, hold on to it and fight for it. Nothing ordains you but YOU.

Please don't give up. I promise you life will get better and it might not seem it at this time. They are obstacles and things are always come in our ways people that might do things to us that we do not like they will be good and evil in life, but I promise you life is full of blessings and happiness sometime. It might take a couple years to like straightened things out, but I promise you stay strong. And hang in there.

From being a domestic violence victim to one that has been bullied by peers and relatives for more than 15 years of my life, I have seen times where I never felt like I was good enough. Fast forward to my military career and I have already been put through my biggest fight, in which I have failed out of one job and am now fighting my heart out to make it through new training for a new job within the USAF. I went through a lot of trauma early on in my childhood. This was my favorite song in 4th grade, when I first heard it, at the end of the traumatic years. It got tears outta me. The first song that I carefully listened to and understood in whole. Life's better now. I still love this song. It just hurts a little to realize how young I was to understand every metaphor and feel it that deeply in my heart.

@xafbrat7910 жыл бұрын
I'll give you some advice, I have a 17yr old daughter that was going through the same thing. I PROMISE you the losers that are bullying you are just insecure, immature kids that obviously have no life, if they have time to bully you. Don't stoop to their level, you're better than them. Everybody makes mistakes, in a yr they won't even remember. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Haters are going to hate no matter what, it just makes you stronger. I'm sorry you're going through this, but you will make it through. ❤️

If ur getting bullied there's really only one solution: whip some ass!
@7979Army10 жыл бұрын
I know the feeling this song helped me to when I was bullied, they came out with just in time for me. If the bullies are being physical let them remember you and get away. The bullies I faced caused me a lot of physical pain and I still suffer from it but I made sure they remembered me, the last fight I was in I snapped 17 against 1, 8 of those kids got the fangs before one kid took my knees out with a baseball bat then I still got one more kid to regret his actions before they the best of me. Don't let them control who you are, you make your own path. In order to stop the fighting you have to fight, you can't always be a sheep sometimes you have to wake up the wolf inside. Be strong your journey has only begun but have faith for God will be there for you ALWAYS!

Stand ‘Cause when push comes to shove You taste what you’re made of You might bend ‘til you break ‘Cause it’s all you can take On your knees you look up Decide you’ve had enough You get mad, you get strong Wipe your hands, shake it off Then you stand, then you stand Life’s like a novel with the end ripped out The edge of a canyon with only one way down Take what you’re given before it’s gone And start holdin’ on, keep holdin’ on Every time you get up and get back in the race One more small piece of you starts to fall into place - yeah Yeah then you stand - yeah Yeah, baby Woo hoo, Woo hoo, Woo hoo Then you stand - yeah, yeah

Hey, as long as you're sorry for all the stuff you've done, God WILL forgive you. And obviously you are sorry, because otherwise you wouldn't have turned around like you did. He will forgive you, even though you attempted suicide, as long as you are sorry for it. One question, are you glad you weren't successful at killing yourself? You are not worthless! I'm sure God put you on this earth for a reason, however small a role you think you play.
@josephleininger91734 жыл бұрын
We are all God's children. We are all equals. No one's better. No one's worse. You are 100% a very good person if you ever need someone to talk to. Joey leininger USA a picture of me next to a car and it was safe from East Greenbush New York. I will be here to talk to anyone who needs anyone to talk to and stay strong. The good Lord is by all of our sides and I promise you. Everybody is meant to be on this road for a reason. Nobody's better. Nobody's worse. We are all equal and I'm very proud that you're doing a lot better in your life. I pray for anyone that is going through a hard time or anything that's happened to anyone that it all goes away. And that's a good lure covers everybody in the blood of Jesus Christ and cast out any evil thing or any thing that's going on in people's life and cover them up lessons. God bless everyone and have a blessed and safe day.

“Stand" You feel like a candle in a hurricane Just like a picture with a broken frame Alone and helpless Like you've lost your fight But you'll be alright, you'll be alright [Chorus:] 'Cause when push comes to shove You taste what you're made of You might bend, 'til you break 'Cause it's all you can take On your knees you look up Decide you've had enough You get mad, you get strong Wipe your hands, shake it off Then you stand, Then you stand Life's like a novel With the end ripped out The edge of a canyon With only one way down Take what you're given before it's gone And start holding on, keep holding on [Chorus:] 'Cause when push comes to shove You taste what you're made of You might bend 'til you break 'Cause it's all you can take On your knees you look up Decide you've had enough You get mad, you get strong Wipe your hands, shake it off Then you stand, Yeah, then you stand Every time you get up And get back in the race One more small piece of you Starts to fall into place Oh [Chorus] Yeah, then you stand, Yeah, yeah, baby Woo hoo, woo hoo, woo hoo Then you stand, yeah, yeah

This song is very inspiring to me and everyone else! my story behind the song: I used to self-harm. Never liked my body, I was too skinny for my liking. My dominant hand was broken and I couldn’t write, and I was bullied for almost everything about me. I finally wanted to end my pain. But I wasn’t even the “expected age” for depression. I was only 9. My parents were divorced and my sister and I weren’t getting along. I was in the bathtub, blade in my hand and it was 6 in the morning, Wednesday, a week after I got surgery. The bathroom radio went on and this song was on. I was crying, ready to commit, but this song... It made me realize that no matter what, I can get through it.

They may not see or know everything you do for them but I'm sure they will one day realise how great of a dad you are. I wish your family happiness. My dad's birthday just passed and it felt like he was with me the whole time, I had that sense of warmth and his presence. I didn't cry until the end of the day, and only because it was the end of his special day. Even if it was just probably my imagination, it felt great having his presence around. :) And thank you, very much appreciated

I listened to this while thinking about a fictional character I created when I was ten and started crying. Not sure if that means I'm way too into my own fantasy worlds, or I made a good character. Probably the former.

The most important thing is to stay strong no matter what someone does or people do to you if you like what I wear if you show and you react to what goes on then they're do more and it will get worse. The most important thing is to stay strong and find someone who you can turn to that you can talk to and Talk to a person about things going on. And I promise you life has many blessings life is very precious. And life will get better. I promise you that it might not seem like everything is going well at this time, but I promise things will get better. It might take a little time, but don't let Noah push you around or make you feel down. We are all amazing. We are all God's children. And we all are equal. So if people do bad things to you just ignore it and try and just walk away or ignore maybe put headsets on if you have to sit near them or something as they say things to you so you can block them out. Stay strong. God bless. Be safe. Back button

This song gives me the courage to keep fighting. Kids and teachers at school used to hate me and I was bullied, and sexually harassed. I used to think about killing myself and I thought about slitting my throat, than I thought about over dosing on pills, than I started cutting. I started rebelling and tried to run away from home. Eventually I was put in a program for troubled kids and they really helped me shape up my act.

I actually have a question for the Rascal Flatts ( if they even see this , if not oh well I tried ) My name is Reba Simard. ( I am using my mothers account ) I am currently working with Reel Youth Ottawa and PACT Ottawa on making awareness videos for human trafficking for sexual exploitation, and my group and I would like to use some of the song Stand, I feel it would be the perfect song to put in between informational slides to make people feel empowered but because it will be going up online and on web sites I'd like to try and get permisson to use ( part of the song ) due to the meaning of the lyrics. If possible it would be really cool to find out by tomorrow, but again I dont know if this post is even going to be seen. So, ya. If so please message me back and let me know asap. Also just love this song.
