Rassie doesn't have to win an award to be known as the best coach in the world, we all know he is and his results are reflective of that. Politics has no place in sport and unfortunately that is all World rugby is known for....spot the difference?! Bunch of power hungry envious clowns they are. We love Rassie and that is all he needs, recognition from his millions of fans. More fans than World Rugby yes? Well done to PSTD - well deserved to an amazing player. Glad to see the highly underrated De Ellende and Kriel also getting recognised in the world team of the year, with Ox, Marx, Eben and Kolbe.

Why should it be a different category? It’s just as hard to win a a gold medal as it is to win a RWC, in fact the qualifying is more difficult , it’s a pity people are so ignorant. I think if it was a different category it would be a very close run thing between Rassie and Farrell , Farrell won a back to back 6 nations shared a series in SA played all top teams lost 3 games in the year Rassie lost 2 but SA didn’t play France , so no guarantee he would have got that award.

7's is getting far too much airtime...I didn't even know the Olympic 7's was on until the semifinals...and watched 2 minutes...absolutely a different sport, and nowhere near the same level...and Dupont should never have won that award...by all accounts he wasn't even the best French player.
