I read about Brown Jenkin in 'Prey' by Graham Masterton (one of his better stories IMO) and yeah, what a loathsome piece of work he is. One was bad enough, but a whole species of them? Yeesh! But I thought it was just made up for that book - I didn't realise it was a thing (I mean like an actual myth and legend thing. I do know Jenk ain't real😉). Live and learn.
