@@johnbergstrom7045 they used to do that because they didn't have dedicated Ray tracing hardware and were most likely using CPUs instead of GPUs. Not to mention there's additional wastage in rendering something because of the software overhead they must be using. What Insomniac has done here is above and beyond expectations. You can tell by the lighting, world density and complexity, and detail on Ratchet's fur etc. This is next gen.

@Hwkakak Klakibsxx With video game graphics like this these days, they do reach the level of Pixar movie visuals, but you can still see some basic and minor flaws with the graphics that still remind you that it’s a video game. Something that Pixar movies don’t necessarily have to worry about since in video game terms, they’re entirely composed of high quality FMVs and don’t have "in game" sections since it’s a movie, not a video game. None of this is bad by the way. It’s just how it is.
