If the risk of it getting taken down weren't there, I absolutely would. But due to that and time restrictions, I can't guarantee that the overall quality would meet what I'd want for a public release. So it's a hard maybe. I do want to continue working on the mod however.

the last mod to add monster hunter creatures had capcom shitstomp them with cease and desists, really unfortunate because it was one of the coolest mods out there..

@@LeoTheYuty I'm gonna say I want to release it. There is currently another Monster Hunter mod on the workshop right now, so I'm keeping an eye on how long of a lifespan it's gonna have. If it doesn't get taken down, I'll release a full mod. I would love for people to experience just how much fun the old Monster Hunter mod was, and set an even better quality standard with what I'm working on now.

Those are the exact same animations as World's animations, so I would guess, he took the code for the model and the animations from the dev kit in MHW and ported it over to Ark.

Man... Taming the monsters from MH in ARK has been a dream of mine...but alas, it'll never come true, with copyright bullshit being a thing x( But, I do hope someone out there decides to make a Monster Hunter style mod at least, with original monsters, but they're inspired by the ones from the game xD

Hey don't worry, Diego_Mendez has had his Monster Hunter mod up for I think over a year now. We've also talked to the community manager for Capcom before and they're only really strict towards the music being used. The only reason this isn't available yet is because I'm putting a lot of work into making sure I honor the game as best as possible, just taking me a long time

I got a decent PC build, needed it to be able to work in the devkit as well as blender. But still not good enough to run ASA on anything more than the lowest settings ☺

Um, sorry to disappoint but those are all animations from the monster hunter games as well as the model. Every flying wyvern has the same skeleton which use the same set of animations. The animations aren't exactly new either as they have been used, and touched up since the first game, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, which came out in 2008. I also looked up the game you were talking about and they do flap their wings a couple times and then glide following that in the same way Monster Hunter did their flying animations. Another game which had done the animations similarly was an MMO called Dragon's Prophet. Sadly service shut down a bit ago for it.
