My initial thought is that Shitroll makes you so foul that even the ground doesn't want you around. You fly not because you can, but because the world itself moves away from you.

Like Chris P said, [Hidden Disinfection] (at 4:40) works on a creature with equipped with [Shitwroll] (at 9:09) because they fly. Definitely a "flavor" win, but not a flavor I'd like to taste.

Barish Master at 7:05 could be a real card. Haste so it doesn't die on the first turn, trample so you can't just chump block - actual coherence with the unique effect. Even more, the art looks like the creature type - Horror. Maybe it's the master of the Barish forest or something? Actual real looking card.
@grantharriman284

If I was making that card real I pump the stats or cut the mana cost. 6 mana 4/3 is WAY below rate even in green with all the other text. That cound be something like 7/5 or bigger and would still be fine.
@Nebukanezzer
@Nebukanezzer Жыл бұрын
@@grantharriman284 that's only true because it's green and they get better stats. Also depends on the format and meta. Consider cards like Ravenous Chupecabra. The only thing that makes it balanced is that something has a chance to just kill the unit by blocking, because it's small. Otherwise it's always a 2 for 1. Seriously, you want to print a 7 attack hasted trampler, that forces them to sacrifice. That's going to be a 3 for 1 sometimes, maybe more.

Im pretty sure soul stone is specifically countering flicker affects because thats the only thing that makes sense in my mind, as it has to target a creature not a spell but it only works if its like arena where it gains the affect “perpetually” only for that turn, its weird but if worded correctly it technically works

First half of this video: (0:00) Wildwark Aven: Unplayable, ship then never use. If it at least had flash, it could be remotely usable, but as it stands, you'd need to find some way to cheat it into play, and then it mostly hinders you. (1:16) Scyclamioro, Choose Library: Fair, ship. Hopefully its long-named partner is able to make +1/+1 counters for it to use. (2:16) Torgsuke War Addenct Gy Beastness Named Powervine Intrider Creatures With This Creature Can't Attack Or Block Unless It Choose An Instant Or Sorcery Card Exiled of a Creature You Control Has Flying: Word salad, shred. Well, there's the partner to the above card! But unfortunately, it doesn't make +1/+1 counters, and metal rate for hamber makes no sense. Darn it. (3:11) Embodiment of Lifes: Fair, ship. A bit pricy, and a couple of the abilities are not all that great, but it's got firebreathing and a much stronger version of Megrim built into it. (4:41) Hidden Disinfection: Fair, ship. Seems like it could be an OP 2-for-1 for cheap, but it does require the opponent to have a legal target with flying in order to use it on them. And yes, it has a tiny bit of word salad in there. Yeah, let's just assume "that player" means "that creature's controller". (6:21) Barish Master: Fair, maybe underpowered, ship. Methinks it should maybe cost 2 mana less, but otherwise, this does work fine, although it can set you back quite a bit. (7:33) Leapless Hour: Super duper OP, shred! IT DANGER!!! Well, if you want to power creep Time Walk, here you go! (9:06) Disqualified, shred. Wizards would never print a card with such a naughty word in its name, I'm pretty sure. And I don't like that word either. As such, I won't look at what this card even does, and will just skip to the next card in the video at 11:32. (11:32) Soul Stone: Unplayable, shred. Doesn't work as written, I don't think. Maybe if it mentioned target creature spell and/or target creature card in a graveyard or exile, then maybe it would work. Perhaps we can just assume that's what it meant? Even then, it's way overpriced for what it does. (14:11) Black Viptares: Word salad, shred. Welp, you lost me at "deals two dancer a Dinosaur", and I don't know how to "Return play ento two cards". (15:10) Withering Vanguard: Likely OP, ship then ban later. That +1 ability is pretty nuts. Also, tiny bit of word salad with the -8 ability, which ends with a ] instead of the " that should be there. Oops. (17:33) Invasion of the That: Fair, ship. It's like a weaker Manamorphose that doesn't cantrip. This might be a tad underpowered, honestly. (18:55) Wifespring: Fair, ship. Basically a color-shifted Stone Rain with a very expensive kicker effect if you really want that extra life-stealing effect. (21:00) Fumgeal Geist: Super duper OP, word salad, shred. It dies right away since it's 0/0, so you will immediately get the death trigger, which is just bonkers. IT DANGER!!! (23:10) Gnottrollike: Likely OP, word salad, ship then ban later. Totally not troll-like. Also, we need some Gares to play, and this thing has no natural way to escape. (25:03) Frying Sliver: OP, shred. Well, this gives you exactly enough mana for a kicked Urza's Rage! Or, you could just go into something more practical for 12 mana, like Blightsteel Colossus. (27:23) Dragonscale Apprentice: Word salad, shred. As written, this doesn't really work, but maybe if it was an ETB, and gave you 2 mana if you used a Snow-Covered Mountain to cast it, then it would be doable. (28:52) Hornet Cannon: Fair, ship. Love the art, and the effect is doable. It doesn't have a mana ability, or even any tap ability, so being able to untap means nothing, unless maybe Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth or Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth is in play.

Second half of the video: (32:18) Salt Warchief: Fair, ship. That's... not where salt normally comes from... :P (33:58) Gravelgender Outcast: Fair, ship. This one's pretty neat. (35:20) Uncalibrate for Swarm: OP, word salad, shred. The X in the mana cost isn't used for anything, and parts of the first paragraph don't work or doesn't make sense. It is interesting to have a win condition that requires controlling no lands, but that's way too easy to pull off. Zuran Orb, anyone? (36:21) You don't need to target anything for the win-con there. It's separate from the first paragraph, and would simply trigger as soon as it sees that you control no lands. (37:31) Bird Party: Underpowered, word salad, shred. Starts off very weak, and what is "it" that you gain control of? Then, you totally lost me at the Spanish word for 8. (39:47) Blazing Contraband: Fair, ship. Overpriced mana fixing, but gives you a neat way to generate energy, and is great for Apilite tribal. (40:31) Oh, so it works for creatures made out of rocks, perhaps? Then it's perfect for Gravelgender Outcast above! (41:23) Caller of Lost Rellus: Fair, word salad, ship. Neat card, though there's a little bit of word salad here. The word "shares" should be "share", and the bottom sentence should be: "You may play one of those cards without paying its mana cost." (42:17) According to Scryfall, there are currently 47 cards with the Dryad type. And, all of them are green. Some have other colors too, but none of them are part red. So, this card would work best in a Gruul deck with Dryad Arbor and other green Dryads, then toss in some Changelings, perhaps. (42:55) Anchor: Super duper OP, word salad, shred. X is meaningless, and IT DANGER!!! (45:19) Hermit of Kher: Fair, ship. Ooh, a mono-green sphinx is neat, and the stats are completely fine for its cost. Also, generating white cats with blue mana FTW. It Zybers! (46:19) Armformer: Likely OP, ship then ban later if needed. Just how OP this is depends on whether it's restricted to things you can cast at instant speed, or if it lets you cast any card type regardless of its normal timing. But, it's probably OP no matter what. (49:18) Oh, yeah. Manamorphose and rituals totally break this. It should have a clause added that you exile any cards you cast from the graveyard this way. (49:51) Back Render: Fair, ship. The words "this turn" aren't really needed, but don't ruin the card in any way. (51:07) Wandering of the Night: OP, shred. Add another to the "IT DANGER!!!" pile! (52:09) Icebring Trickster: Fair, ship. Ninjutsu doesn't combo with the other abilities, but I think that's okay... Oh, wait! Word salad! The Ninjutsu cost in the reminder text doesn't match the actual cost! Yo, AI, you gotta get that detail right, dood! (53:37) Warket Wolf: Underpowered, word salad, ship. I guess this guy voted for flying. (54:03) Endless Sword: Fair, ship. A perfectly doable piece of equipment. It Zybers! (55:05) Kraul Entrancer: Word salad, shred. Welp, I just lost the game five times. (56:33) Dauntless Power: Fair, ship. Obviously goes in a zombie deck. It Zombers! :P (57:53) Prismari Stormcrusher: Super duper OP, word salad, shred. IT DANGER!!! This badly needs an X in its mana cost, and for you to be limited to casting spells of mana value X or less for free from the top X cards of the deck. (59:44) Ailorcose: Frien, frien. That art is very sweet. Unfortunately, choosing frien can't actually be done, since it's at the beginning of each upkeep... at sorcery speed. Oops.

14:02 if we take the card literally, then it’s basically just “Stifle” for ETB abilities “Target creature” refers to a permanent with the card type Creature. (If it wants to target a Creature on the stack, it needs to say “target Creature spell”. This is a perfectly reasonable correction to assume, but in this comment I will focus on the literal meaning with no corrections) So basically, after the creature enters the battlefield, but before its ETB ability resolves, you target that creature with this Activated Ability. If this ability resolves, then you counter that creature’s ETB by saying it “can’t” enter the battlefield (Even this is a bit wonky, but we can think of it like a replacement or prevention effect. That is, prevent all ETB abilities on the stack whose source is target creature)

36:22 This is an Enchantment, not an Instant/Sorcery. You don’t target anything when you cast it The first ability is a triggered ability that goes off every turn at the beginning of your upkeep. If you can’t target something, then the triggered ability just fizzles. It doesn’t affect the existence of the Enchantment itself (which is already on the battlefield at this point)

I wonder what AI is used to make these, they all kind of suck. Chat GPT can make cards that are actually believable. It gave me this for example: Astral Weaver Creature - Human Wizard Mana Cost: 2 Colorless 2 Blue Power/Toughness: 2/2 Card Text: Astral Weaver enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it. Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, you may remove a +1/+1 counter from Astral weaver. If you do, draw a card. Flavor text: "In the threads of the cosmos, every spell is a tapestry waiting to be woven."

Me coming in: red ancestral recall that discards a card and draws one extra will be the most broken card here. Enter prismari stormcrusher and gravestorm time walk is super busted too. Like crack 3 fetches, get 4 time walks. That's a draw 4 so it outdraws ancestral AND you get land drops and 4 untap steps. Anchor and armformer are pretty broken too. Armformer just reminds me of solidarity because you could just have 3 islands with reset and that's infinite blue. Any dual land can filter that blue into another color. Manamorphose just draws the whole deck to find reset. Tis a rather silly place. Anchor target yourself to put all the broken stuff into play is hilarious or just steal all their stuff first then play your hand so they can't counter anything meaningfully.

Salt Warchief banned in Pauper It generates sooo much card advantage, and with cantrips like brainstorm you just overwhelm the opponent with value.

I think for Soul Stone it'd be more of an anti-flicker card. Say someone targets a creature to flicker, you'd respond with Soul Stones ability to stop it from re entering.

12:12 Soul Stone doesn't work. A creature only becomes a creature on the battlefield. It should target a creature card instead.

Soul Stone works like a Counterspell but only against creatures that would end up in battlefield after everything is resolved. Finally a counter to Emrakul!

47.22 Also draw step isn't when you pick up the card,and while it arrives into the hand range?,so you would need to be very quick to play it.I would say max 5 or 6 seconds.

For Soul Stone you could fix it by simply adding "perpetually". It would be digital only, but legal.

Fumgeal Geist Sounds like a Mythic from an Un-Set which focuses on EDH (like most Mtg Product does these days) In that context, drawing 2 cards, stealing a players hand and just outright sacrificing up to two players (you can only sacrifice permanents you control, so better get your mindslaver out) actually seems okay? Maybe not for 3 Mana tho

Frying sliver plus the red mana into black to play regular mono red, but sometimes you instantly deal 27 in a turn because you drew the combo. Wouldn't even be that great, because they are just dead cards by themselves

Leapless hour would be too strong in a format where time walk is a fair and balanced card lol. Crack a fetch land and get 2 extra turns with it in a bad case lol. Great start for an izzet spells matter deck with wandering of the night.
