My Thoughts EXACTLY! The crunch of the riff adds a sence of urgency and gives a nice ying-yang contrast. The stripping out of the backing vocals helps to.

Actually, there is a band called "Rock Candy" that mashes up rocks songs and performs them in the studio. They have an album out. Do a KZbin search for them. It's wild and funny.

I grew up on Marvin Gaye. I am a great fan, and I absolutely LOVED Ratt in the 80s and 90s. This Sir, is BRILLIANT, and it just goes to show you, good music is good music. Genré matters not.

Un-freakin'-believable! It is amazing how perfectly this works! Marvin's I Heard It Through The Grapevine is my favorite song of all time, and I'm usually very "protective" of such endeavors, but this deserves some sort of award! Kudos to you, sir!
