Nice video, one thing that really helps with these videos is putting the camera behind you so we can see you play as we would play. Helps with the hand placement a lot!

Just have to come back to this again and say that I really like how you structured this, by starting out with the basics and then building upon that in steps, makes for some really fun experimentation in each step for me as a learner, I'm having so much fun playing around with the various stages of this pattern, so thanks once more, this is by far the best tutorial I've come across so far! :) Cant wait for whatever else to come ^^

The note you use as your main drum note (not the bass) is left of the most bottom note right? That just doesn't sound very nice on my D Minor so I play it on the bottom note instead. Love the groove though! Def using it.
@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic4 жыл бұрын
Hello Rick, the note I use is the bottom left, so not the lowest note (besides the central one). I use that one simply because it sounds nice on my A Integral.

Nice groove. Are you left handed or is there another reason you start the patterns with the left hand?
@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Anders. Yes I am left handed. My newest tutorials are for right handed.

All those extra tappity tap taps....
@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic6 жыл бұрын
Yes, the ghost notes :) They're emphasised because I use a contact microphone

Edoardo Striani - Handpan music Well it sounds much cleaner and clear without all the extra Ghost Notes brother great job nonetheless. I've watched a bunch of videos and listen to some artists performing handpans hang drums and tank drums. The Ghost Notes seem to stand out to me and every single performance all the extra goes tapping is almost more noticeable to me than the cleaner sounds which I prefer much more. Have you thought about drum machines with looping beats and percussion sounds to a company? Go for it brother endless possibilities 🎶🎶🎶🎶👊💚

Edoardo Striani - Handpan music sorry . I'm being pretty critical I know it's just an instructional video so I know it's not an actual Throwdown performance so my bad but I'm just really honest
@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic6 жыл бұрын
No problem at all. Ghost notes help to keep the groove and create a texture to the groove. I personally like it, but I get your point. Consider that, like I said, here I'm using a contact mic that really emphasise the tapping. I think handpan/RAV with electronic is really cool and I plan to do something in the future :)

@@EdoardoStrianiHandpanMusic Have you tried using an expander plugin if you want to de-stress the ghost notes? Not that I don't like them though :)
