No IT professional in India earns monthly salary in Crores. only a CEO of a company can earn in crores. The Fresh Graduate salary in India's Largest IT company , TCS remains the same for the last 10 years. Rs. 25000/- (3.5 lakhs CTC) As their Salary and Age increases, the chances of loosing their job also increases. In India, it's very rare for an IT worker to keep his/her job till retirement age of 60.

Don't compare IT job with govt. job. In IT, salary starts high and as time goes becomes less. There is no job security and other facilities like quarters in IT job. In govt. job salary starts low and climbs high. There is job security. There are facilities like quarters and other benefits. After retirement you get bulk amount and also pension. The lifetime of an IT engineer is only max 15 to 20 yrs unlike govt. servant who retires at 58 years of age. That is why getting govt. job is difficult. But getting IT job is easy when compared to IT job. Even some govt. employee get free car, petrol allowance, train/bus pass...etc.
