Okay. Finally got back to the bubble and I've been flying the Krait with the fancy new heatsinks. I'm finding Cyclops in the combat zones fairly easy pickings but have not got the FA off skills for the Basilisks. I see you're on Keyboard + Mouse, and that's just a terrorfying combo when you're in VR like me. Also, don't have the class I gauss guns unlocked so the Mamba isn't much of an option. Damn shame, as I love that ship. Cosy cockpits are great in VR. Anyway, I take my hat off to you FA off skills. Really I wish I'd been practicing that more than the odd flip manoeuvre.

Thank you sir! It might be worth unlocking the small gauss as it’s used in the chieftain too. Yeah VR is tricky with keyboard nd mouse so I gave I and settled for an eye tracker which does a pretty good job. o7 CMDR

@@bokatan9642 Yep, grabbed some more guardian mats and picked it up. I'm definitely finding the Krait easiest but going to try a Chieftain next. The FDL was too twitchy with the gauss guns so maybe adjusting the response curve on the HOTAS may help. Good hunting cmdr! o7

​@@FasterThanJesus I'm a little late the party but maybe I can add my two cents. I made the switch over from krait to chieftain and I wholeheartedly endorse it. I had kinda ran a hybrid of shield and hull tank on my krait which didn't work out too well. But for my chieftain I went full hull and G5'd everything, adding an afmu and a repair limpet really makes everything a whole lot simpler in one on one combat. The convergence with the chieftain is also much better imo especially with the extra hard point for the thermal vent beam which makes orbiting easier.

I'd be happy to wing up with you. My Cutter can tank quite a bit while you chew things up. Solo I can usually win against a Cyclops unless I just really BORK it up. 2x mod shards, 2x #3 regular shards I often swap out to #3 turreted enhanced AXMC, size 7 multi limpet controller. Xeno scanner and SFN I do have the expansion modules but so far haven't gotten much good results with them
