Why leave the boats plugged into shore power? I assume the breakers are off, but why even leave the cords attached? Just one more thing to snap, get yanked out, lost, etc.

Hopefully you fared ok. I'm just west of Chiquita from you and my camera recording showed the canal rising and road flooding around midnight, but the flooding was gone an hour later and the canal is below the docks this morning.

Thanks for the videos. What happened to those homes on the spreader canal? I'm guessing that there wasn't much to slow down the surge for them.

We have an old style home on Roberts Bay. It's likely there will be a lot of damage if it survives. But we are not there. So, if you are riding this out, best of luck and keep us posted. We care. 🙏

What time is high tide , 1135 pm, whats the elevation of your house . Doesnt look very high off sea level . Keeo that up , your going to have to move back to NY

This doesn't seem as bad as Debbie was. Yes, the surge is about the same but, no, the rain isn't. We had about 12" with Debbie, last I checked the total at our house (near your's) was 3". The winds are definitely stronger with this one. God bless the people in the pan handle.

Oh boy it started raining yesterday at 6pm really hard and it’s not let up all day today. So far 14 1/2 inches and the storms not here yet. Will start feeling it about 3am and the heavy stuff will hit about 6am. Biltmore in Asheville is trashed already. Roads are already flooded and we are looking at massive loss of trees , power list goes on

Keep safe over there! So sorry y’all are going through this crap again. I don’t know what it is on the gulf side and hurricanes. We have had our share over here, but always bad over there. She’s an angry woman out there, Helene….Uggh…. We pray for the best and that the waters start receding soon, especially before the peak of high tide . We have storm surge over here in Sebastian ,which is crazy, but to be expected with the size and velocity of this storm. Thanks for the update. 🙏

I can't believe the carnage and absolute devastation you people have endured. I bet it will be three or four days before that wooden dock is completely dry. I can only assume that dozens of lawn chairs were blown over and who knows how many beach umbrellas may have been lost. Prayers for the victims.........
