Thanks Andy! I've been using the DR Compression module for awhile. It works well with systems (Fuji and Canon, but I'm sure there are others) that record extended DR information in the RAW files. Good stuff right here.

The Dynamic Range Compression Module gives some really nice effects, but it is also so CPU intensive the the processing time becomes so long

It was terribly CPU intensive in the last dev build on this machine, but the 5.9 mac release is much better - still bogs down a little, but nowhere near as bad as it was.

@@AndyAstbury It really ever was not terribly CPU intensive? On my Linux and Windows systems it always was the thing I only activated last because the calculation always took so long. (And because of the fixed pipeline in RT it doesn't really matter when you activate it)

That can cause problems when you employ a tool further down the pipe - when you finally activate DRC, the effect of tools further down the chain will change - Catch22!

Welcome back at your revived Mac, Andy :-). The content of your video is perfect, as usual IMO. But the quality of this video is very far from being perfect IMO. It's horribly blurry and quite faded. Even RT's menu visible on the screen is impossible to read. I'm using still the same WQHD monitor 2560x1440, and all your former videos are still ok.

Click the gear icon and select 1440 Ludwik, or perhaps it's not fully rendered yet on your regional YT server.

@@AndyAstbury Thanks, Andy! It did the job. For some reason, the gear icon was settled on 720 :-(
