Talking about it like this judge is doing gets the neglect on the public record, which gives other parents ammunition to beat back CPS in the future. At the very least his angry on-the-record comments puts everybody else on notice about what is going on instead of allowing the social workers to slither back to their office and continue on without rebuke. This notice at least lets everyone know not to trust the system like so many people normally do.

@@m.w.3256 Been there. Done that. Celeste is correct at least to my family's situations in the past. Lived it twice. Found innocent both times. Child protective services tried to call my dad some kind of a 'trainer' for attack dogs to get him on bigger charges than just accidental neglect back when my brother snuck out the back door despite the fact every door to the outside in the house had child-proof locks. Tore us out of house and home and would've sent us to foster care if it weren't for my extended family pitching in to help. Meanwhile, my poor aunt and uncle had to deal with a 5 year old kid who had no idea what was going on and thought this was just some kind of fun stay over at their house with his cousin, going "When can I go home and see Mommy and Daddy again?" My dad took it to all sort of local news stations, papers, anyone that would listen, and even got an officer who's job it was to train dogs to give some insight into the case. When proceedings went under-way, the CPS agent was trying and trying to have us taken away, and spilling his libel about his accusations against my father. When it was my father's chance to defend, the officer simply stated that he has trained dogs both to attack, find drugs, and if warranted, even kill. And what this dog had done was just an excited, playful pup who didn't realize the harm they were doing. That case was dropped as soon as the officer said that, because the judge was appalled by the overzealous CPS agent's attempt to exaggerate the situation for their own 'career'. Never once was I asked how I felt about the situation, my parents, my home. Never once did the feelings of one of the children involved get brought into question. Only the slander driven by a man out to persecute an accident that ultimately proved to be not life threatening.

ALs Junkmail You’re a psychopath! Wow! So you think ALL CPS workers are terrible people who didn’t do their jobs? What a whack job you are. Some of them do their jobs to the best of their ability you freak. And this is coming from a mother who dealt with them because my sons grandma LIED on me because I had her sons rights to see our child taken away. I’m still not ignorant enough to believe all CPS workers are garbage. Sure, some are but certainly not all.

I worker with Child Protective Services for four years, in another state and had a similar case, but I/we stayed on top of it and terminated the parent's Parental Rights and placed the little girls with their maternal great-grandparents where they were loved and cared for. It broke my heart each time "Mom" chose her abusive boyfriend over her children and rejected our attempts to preserve the family. It was a difficult job forty years ago I can't even guess how much more difficult it would be today.

Not the same situation but Texas took my daughter with no evidence of abuse and brainwashed her. I haven't had a relationship with her in 6 yrs. They ruined my life. She was my only child

Sue them! Get a group law suit and the lawyers get a portion of what you are awarded. It’s time to make these people pay for what they’ve done to children. I would include those who had their kids taken away for no reason and those who left the children to be abused and, worse, killed. Sickening! And a group from all fifty states should do this at the same time. It would get tons of press and peaceful protests. At 67 years old I am a product of abuse and neglect from social services. I am still dealing with the anger and hurt.
