WWE 6 (Though one is Shawn getting (I think kayfabe) injured during match, what lead to the finish so technically 5) 1996: WCW - 20 WWE - 12 1997: WCW - 31, including 8 dq finish in main event in a row WWE -19 1998: WCW - 29 WWE - 22 (I think like 15 of them include Stone Cold) 1999 WCW - 22 (As of September 20th 1999) WWE - 18 (As of September 20th 1999)

I'm probably looking way too deep into this, but I wonder if Austin reinstating Vince ties into the WrestleMania 17 ending. Austin helped give Vince the thing that mattered most to him (being the boss again), so Vince paid Austin back by giving Austin the thing that mattered most to him: the WWF World Title. In story, if Austin hadn't given Vince his job back, Vince wouldn't have been there to help Austin win the title.
