HBK and HHH wanted Bret to beat Rock to stop the latter's momentum, as both saw him as a future threat. But always loved that Bret refused to beat Rock, and took him under his wing in 1997.
@jabroni_z26863 жыл бұрын
It was actually a match that would have benefited both Shawn and Hunter. If Bret would have won it would have took him out of the world title picture and it would have keep Rock from his push(even though it was failing at the time)think about it, why would Bret be in this position anyway? He was already IC champ like 4 years before this and was just WWF champ a couple months before this. The match made no sense but I’m glad Bret gave Rock a rub just by being in the ring with him.

I haven't been watching these at the time of release lately. I save great videos to work out to as they are always engaging and entertaining. I have made these same points before but I need to say it again. You do have a great sense of humour, but when cover specific events or career you give a great deal of honesty. When it comes to covering careers you give the stars their due respect, especially when they have had troubled lives / periods. That respect come through in, not only your choice of words but your delivery. You passion is also so clear which makes this one of the best channels I follow. I admire the work and best wishes for the coming new year.

The opening match on Raw was great on its own but the ending oddly improves it because at the time no one expected it. If that was booked on Nitro Brett would have been in the ring randomly tackling the bulldog before the bell rang or 2 minutes in because they like to pull a n ending like that right away.

Ya gotta admit, a match with any variation of bret hart, davey boy and Owen fighting each other regardless of rules or type of bout, it is always an instant classic! Always entertaining to watch. That Bret Hart promo really was beautiful and gives ya the feels , i hate how 97 ended for the guy , it was his magical peak in the WWF in my opinion , the greatest technical wrestler in the company but can also make you react emotionally and put glitter in your eye , take a moment to think about that , best there is , the best there was .... you know the rest.
