WCW Bash at the Beach 97 took place in Daytona Beach on July 13th 1997. The show as headlined with another WCW vs nWo battle when Lex Luger and The Giant took on Hollywood Hulk Hogan and Dennis Rodman. This would serve as Rodman's in-ring debut.
Elsewhere on the card, Diamond Dallas Page revealed his mystery partner for a tag team match against Scott Hall and Randy Savage. Chris Jericho defends his Cruiserweight Championship against Ultimo Dragon, The US title is up for grabs when former Horseman Jeff Jarrett defends against Steve McMichael, and "Nature Boy" Ric Flair battles "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in the semi-main spot. Raven also breaks his silence at Bash at the Beach, though his promo is still very vague.

I really envy you. Save for my extremely young and impressionable half-siblings, my family as a whole was very dismissive of wrestling. I cannot count the times I have been told 'but it's not real?'. But I guess most wrestling fans have dealt with that. LOL
@BlueMageWithSoulEdge
@BlueMageWithSoulEdge 2 жыл бұрын
@@henrikschmidt3964 I thank GOD that I was born in Tennessee. The best thing is that my parents knew it was a show and treated as such, and I think that is the big difference between people that like wrestling and those that don't. I have an adult friend that gave me the "it not real" line, but he his self only found out late in his life. And after "confirming" with him that's it's "not real", he became a casual fan. I truly think the "it's not real" is a cooping mechanism for not being sure if it is real, or isn't sure on how much of it is real. In short it's an example of skepticism ruining a fun time. I hope you found a place that will enjoy the Muscle Theater with you.

The more i think about it, the more i want a Mark Curtis's "Best Moments in the War" series that highlights all his best reactions, matches, possible insight or comments made by Mark at different times, All the finger guns😅 and just have it be possibly another supplementary video filling out the Reliving The War universe of brilliant entertainment. If not just Mark Curtis then maybe all the refs, hosts, announcers, etc.... There's something there, i just don't think i'm explaining it quite right 🤷‍♂️. Whatever, Wrestling Bios is the best regardless of what gets uploaded to the channel because the content is consistently Awesome, the quality is top notch, you can trust the knowledge shared in each video and the writing is 🤔 Casually Brilliant sounds kinda right. 😄👍

Ernest Miller might be known for his kicks but he threw some good work punches in the opening match although the one looked like he forgot to hold back before first tag out

I really only remember the nwo . Its nice to see they had more stuff going on without totally being dominated by the nwo

The NWO was a small portion of what they had. Wrestling-wise, they were leagues better than WWF imo (aside from people like Hulk and Lex), they had an amazing and stacked cruiserweight division, an I flux of luchadore, wrestlers from New Japan, etc. etc
