Your video is awesome! YT tip, your thumbnail is not popping so much! Try different types of thumbnails and I'm sure u're get more clicks, your retention rate is probably very high. Did your tried to the translation during conversation? I'm currently in Canada and it's a nice interaction feature to have (if works)!

Thanks buddy. I do find making a decent thumbnail hard work. Videos aren’t so hard but creating a single image that makes people interested enough to click is much harder! Not played with translations but will certainly try it out. Thanks again.

Great review of the meta rayban smart glasses. I found you covered everything perfectly and explained these glasses really well. I got mine a few months ago. I too got the clear lens option and needing prescription glasses found lensology who made me a pair of varifocal transitions to fit in my meta glasses. I love them but made a small mistake in not getting an anti glare coating so when I next need to update my lenses then that would be the only thing I’d do different otherwise the meta glasses and lensology have been incredible. Having a capture device with me at all times means I never miss those surprise moments where I wished I had a camera or wasn’t quick enough to capture a spur of the moment event. Hands free pov video is a game changer for moments I’d struggle to capture such as cycling etc. They really do what they promise and look great too.

Awesome! I love these things so far so it’s great to hear from someone who is still loving them months on. I’ve ordered varifocal Transition Xtractive Next Generation mirror lenses from Lensology, with all the bells and whistles coatings - can’t wait to try them!! Review to follow!

Hey. Half of my viewers are in the states so I wanted to make sure I reviewed all aspects of the glasses. Therefore, I installed a VPN on my phone and set the US as my location before I activated the glasses. Obviously, I don’t condone this, but it works.

I bought these glasses and have installed the app, however do not have the meta ai option at all on the app? Is it not yet available in the U.K? Or am I missing an update somewhere?

I had to ensure I accommodated my American audience when making the video, therefore I activated the glasses on the Meta View app while using a VPN on my phone to tell it I was in the US, unlocking all the AI features. Obviously, I don’t condone or encourage this, but that’s how I did it. 🤫

Paul, this was a great review, one of the best, actually. But I am upset you did not state for UK viewers that the AI features are not active in the UK. Neither do you mention it in your description. But you know it because you are using VPN to access the AI features which you mentioned only in the comments somewhere when someone asked why they couldn't get AI working. I bought the glasses not knowing this. I love the glasses enough not to send it back, but I am wondering if AI will ever be active or if using VPN is viable without affecting my Quest 3 VR use. Just really puzzled why you couldn't give such important information for UK viewers :(

Hi. I absolutely take on board your comment. I have as many US viewers as UK viewers, which is why I made sure it was a full review, but your point is valid. I will update my description to reflect this and apologise if I contributed to misleading you. For you personally, I see no reason why using a VPN on your phone to fully activate your glasses would impact your Quest 3 usage and, therefore, encourage you to do it. There are assurances that Meta AI is coming to Europe, especially as the advancement of it has been a topic of discussion since their presentation last month, but little to indicate when. The thing is, I don’t think there is anything which imposes on people’s privacy by introducing AI to the glasses, as the benefits, which I highlight in the video, do not impact or interact with others at all! In fact, the camera is arguably the only intrusive aspect and that works wherever you are in the world. I really would suggest you download a VPN and unlock the full capabilities of these wonderful glasses. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it.

I get half of your viewers are US (I would have thought it would be even more than half) but you still have a substantial UK audience too, don't undermine them in future :) Regards the VPN, I've never used one before so any pointers or source tutorial would be welcome if you have time, but I will try research it. Just got these delievred today and all i keep getting is "I cant do that on your glasses" so how do i get Meta Ai using VPN? Such a joke that the EU is letting us fall behind with tech compared to the US.

While I obviously don’t condone such behaviour (😉), launch the vpn on your phone and choose your location as the US. Finally, open the Meta View app, factory reset the glasses and reactivate the glasses to the latest software version. Enjoy!

MY Ray ban metas dont under stand what the camera sees and says ,,I can only do voice comands for now it cant look or see it only works in the US Canada and Australia Not the UK... m8ne are the new Transaction lens skyliner .. so read the small print.the glass3s say SORRY I CANT DO THAT AT THE MOMENT IM STILL LEARNING....EH....! YET IT WORKS IN TBE US.....!!

No - I use them every day and they're brilliant! Most of the time, they're just my glasses, but they remind me of their capabilities periodically by reading me a text message or allowing me to answer phone calls. I guess the best reference I could give them is that, if I lost them today, I'd buy a new pair tomorrow.
