@svetoslavkrastev22811 ай бұрын
You call THAT average? @@giomusah2155 Are you for real? And that is comming from I guy (me) who prefers Mari Samuelsens' performance. But that doesn't change the fact that Ray (and his orchestra) were reaally good. Wtf can satisfy you if that is the "average" standard for you. Your negativism is quite unfounded and misplaced here. Also - I listened to Pinchas Zukerman's perfromance of Winter (if that is the guy you are refering to). Was is different - yes, was it better - hell no. It is preferences. I can accept you saying you don't like how Ray plays is (interprets it) but to say that the performance was "average. You are delusional.

I much prefer Ray Chen directing the chamber ensemble with his eyeballs and physicality over being constrained by a conductor in a full orchestra. BREATHTAKING! 🤩

I've never seen it played this way. Ray prowling around the stage like a hunter stalking prey and then jumping in with so much intensity. It really set apart the elegant moments. It felt like more than music. It felt like a story being told. I've ascended.

It’s so awesome think of winter in the woods. The wolf stalks it’s prey. Stating his prey down, that’s what he wants. Always loved this piece. Phenomenal
@atriyakoller136 Жыл бұрын
To me the visuals and movements are always secondary, and I would honestly love a concert where you just hear the music and don't see anything, but it'd take someone playing like Ray here to actually make it enjoyable beyond belief. You can hear all of the movements, the elegance behind them and the emotions with your eyes closed
@ongjanette11 ай бұрын
@@atriyakoller136 IKR?! Not sure if they played this a tad faster then usual, but just listening to it without the visuals still convey a piercing harshness and a lot more intensity than I've ever heard it played. Not that I'm well-acquainted with classical music though, so there's that! 😜
