Try exiting out of your safe file, so that way you can get the lums in that one circle in the sliding section.

Do someone knows how i can get 100% in the N64 version? You cannot exit the level, the final boss starts inmediately after The Prison Ship and if you beat the final boss the game softlocks and you lose all of your progress in both levels.

I love your walkthrough of Rayman 2: The Great Escape, RayCarrot! by the way, imagine if this Video Game that I loved growing up is one of the inspirations for my movie, I grew up with The PS1 version, which that and The Sega Dreamcast version are my favorite ports of Rayman 2. In which, The PS1 version is great to those who wanted to play a shorter version of Rayman 2 after work or school, because portions of the game were completely cut out due to the sound files taking up space on the disc.

It's kind of interesting how many different variations of this game there are. I believe the true original is the N64 version, which is what a lot of other versions are based off, the PC version is basically a better looking version of the N64 version, then the PS1 is a modified and cut down version of it, the Dreamcast is a slight rework that runs at 50/60fps PAL/NTSC and looks really nice, but has a different level select design and some multiplayer features, then the PS2 version is a bit of a remix/reinvention of the previous versions (that only runs at 25/30fps PAL/NTSC, unfortunately). Entire sections of levels get moved around and repurposed in the PS2 version, not necessarily in a bad way, but it's definitely a bit of a different experience if you've played the N64/PC/Dreamcast versions.
@SPlRlT_R2 жыл бұрын
@@EuroMIX2 awesome! Never knew those versions ever existed as i am maybe not old enough lol. But anyway you don't find those variations anymore nowadays between actual console and pc games. I always thought PS2 version was the best abou this game. It has so many features the PC version don't have. And i felt like the PS2 was like a longer experience and more like and open world one.

Why doesn’t that cutscene at the very end of this level play? :( You know? Where Rayman frees all of his friends in those cages where I’m assuming Globox and him got captured at the very beginning of the game?
@RayCarrot4 жыл бұрын
That cutscene only plays on PS1, Dreamcast, PS2, 3DS and iOS. It never made it into the PC and N64 version due to time constraints.

RayCarrot Thanks for telling me matey! ;) :) Oh, oh! What do you think of Revolution, its 3 hub worlds and the fact that them two levels BEFORE getting wor 3rd mask have their sections mixed up?! XD Oh... I liked the Dreamcast version so much when I was a kid! 😃😃😃
@RayCarrot4 жыл бұрын
@@mrwizzardknight I'm kind of torn on Revolution. On one hand I like how they added more detail to some areas, added new music, enemy types etc. On the other hand I feel they lost a lot of the atmosphere of the original in the process. The hub worlds end up feeling rather empty and big, there are way too many pirate battles and other odd choices like the level mixup you mentioned. I'd probably say I prefer the PC/DC versions.

i fucked up again this level. always on this part : 5:24 and its so annoying since this level at the flying part is pretty hard at the end so i need to choke two times and now i needed a brake. need one lum but its going to be another time. hate that section. its the hardest level and the most choking distance of a level. i suck at this level at 100 procent but never did an Any procent so i dont know. yet, i know for a fact that the flying part at 10:18 and further is the hardest part and always choking on these hard to dogde wooden stuff. i hate this level with a passion, its too damn hard for me. now i going to try again tomorrow and finish up the game for the first time since many years. i was replaying the whole game for the nostalgia part but damn, from Tomb of Ancient untill the final boss (and this final real level) this game got realy hard.
@RayCarrot4 жыл бұрын
Ah yeah, I'd totally forgotten about that part. It's quite unfair level design as if you miss a lum there you can't go back without restarting the level. At that point I usually just exit the level and restart it entirely.
