What do you mean with there not being a save button? You should have one on the bottom-right of the window.

@@realvortexize There's a mod in RCP which allows you to reach it without having to play online challenges. Otherwise you could use RCP to edit your save and add it.

In the progression page there's an edit button next to the game save slots. If it's not there you have to set the user level to "technical" in the settings.

@@realvortexize Any text editor. I'd recommend one with JSON support such as VS Code or Notepad++. Otherwise just use normal Notepad.

Yep, but you can use the already extracted files here: raym.app/ray1editor/R1_PS1_US_EditKit.7z This link also has the files needed to repack the disc (which you need to specify the path for in the Ray1Editor)

That'd be fun too. Sadly it's incredibly hard to decompile GBC games, especially with it being written in assembly, so it'd have to be a port of the Pocket PC or Palm OS versions then.

@@RayCarrot That or even remake em from scratch like Redemption, it'd be probably easier than decompiling two entire games

Thanks! 😄 I really enjoyed the Spyro GBA games as well! They're so underrated imo. Having them ported to PC like this would be really fun, but sadly I'm way too busy with this and other projects for something like that. I wouldn't mind helping out if someone else wants to give it a try though ^^

Thanks! 😄 Maybe this can be your introduction into the GBA games then? Out of the ones available I would argue this is the best one. It was originally made as a 2D adoption of Rayman 2, but changed to Rayman 3 late in development to coincide with its release.

@@RayCarrot It got me thinking, and I tried to recall your wide variety of video material, but not sure how many GBA I had seen anymore 😅 But maybe, yeah! 💡As for the statement: I have a déjà vu here, but thanks for refreshing my memory ^^

I'm thinking of adding some optional quality of life changes you can toggle on in the settings to make the game feel better. For example a slight coyote jump, allowing you to jump a few frames after on a platform, and buffered inputs, making it less likely that an input gets ignored because you pressed it a few frames too early. Also tweaking a few hitboxes to make things more fair. I'm open to other ideas too! I'd like to make the game as enjoyable as possible with this.

@@RayCarrot thats great! My personal biggest problem with it is that it relies too much on instant kill. Like bottomless pits with strict timing, the gimicky sections being all instant kill (like the bombs in Ssssams levels) etc. Even the devs didnt like that funnyly enough in the leaked prototypes
