That's the thing working with actors who have already made it. As they are not scared to take a risk on playing a part in a novie which may be panned by critics. If you are an up and coming actor one bad movie can end your career, if you already have made millions you just don't have to care if the movie bombs. It's not that Dean Martin, Burt, Roger and the rest were needing the money. The same thing goes for Clint Eastwood, the 2 movies he made with the ape as his companion were slaughtered by critics,, but Clint and his co stars were in a position that they could take a risk and doing a movie just for fun.

that Lambo was toying with those cops, because that Lambo was specifically built for speed and to haul ass
@brianjosey8113 Жыл бұрын
it was part movie magic as they sped up the film for that effect, In reality a top end 150 mph T/A against a top end 200 Mph Lambo? yea no match at all LOL. I got to drive one when I was 15, my uncle ran an auction in Florida and I got to drive it about 100 feet LOL but I still got to drive it!!! its like sitting in a bathtub and just as hard to get out of
@OffGridInvestor Жыл бұрын
@@brianjosey8113 i gather they're hard to get out of. I was at the lights next to a new lambo and they can take off BETTER than that. It's on my channel about 18 months ago. They're so fast at take off you can barely believe it

Fantastic opening to a film that I remember fondly when I was growing up. Shocking that the main ensemble cast of Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore, Farrah Fawcett, Dom Deluise, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior and Jack Elam are no longer with us.

What an opening scene! I was probably 9 years old when I saw this in the 80's, in the U.K. The car was just from another planet and the ladies blew my mind and all backed with an amazing song. Who knew a few decades later I'd have driven hot cars and quick bikes on the very roads in this video. Still haven't managed to do them in a black Lambo. That front spoiler is just the coolest. Never say never, so they say.
@bedlamite42 Жыл бұрын
Front spoiler didn't help aero, it slowed the car down and didn't add downforce. It was only there to meet bumper height regulations for the US.
@michaelross7153 Жыл бұрын
Sensible Me - Regulations of bumper height, sounds reasonable. Proper Me - It's a bad arse Lambo with two hot chicks, tearing up an Interstate highway. Literally my teenage dream. I've rode high powered motorbikes on that very road. Still waiting for that Lambo moment X It's coming.......

@@bedlamite42 I'm *pretty sure* the front spoiler was never installed on any real road car, it was just for the movie.
@Tsotha Жыл бұрын
quite a few car importers in the late 1970's installed them on Countaches in order to get them to meet US safety regulations, before Lamborghini themselves started putting bigger bumpers on the US export versions - but a lot of owners removed the factory made giant bumpers because they looked tacky and awkward as hell@@xmo552

Actually, in a way they have. A movie called "Speed Zone" came out in the early 90's. I read back then that it was a "loose" remake. It was called The Cannonball Run III" in other countries. Only the the actor who plays the Shiek is in the movie, but for a short scene only.
