Btw I am working with the Soundock 10 and there's no voltage in the secondary. Can you help me get all the components that you just replaced in your video? It would be a great help. Thank you.

Is it important to use an LM5021-MM2 or can you also use an LM5021-MM1?
@razenby5 ай бұрын
No you need as -2 part - higher duty cycle.

Do you know how I can use a power supply to replace the 4pin charging cradle for a Bose revolve speaker. Can’t find a pin out for the charging cradle anywhere. 2 pins are +5VDC and GND but I’m unsure what to do with the other 2 pins to make my speaker charge. The usb charging port is broken. Thanks so much. Matt

The other two pins are USB spoofing voltage levels to make the device believe that it is connected to a USB source. You can do this by connecting the centre point of a potential divider between 5V and 0V. Note they need to be independent so you require one divider for each of the data pins. i.e. 4 resistors.

Hey my sound dock 10 has the exact same components that appear to be fried also Would you be able to still sell me those components that you listed in this video? Seems that a replacement board is impossible to find at this time sadly. I hooked up a square wave inverter to it and it fried it after about 20 min of listening to it :/ Know better then to do that again.

I have them in stock and I have sent some out before but soon got inundated with support requests. I can supply the components but don't have time to support.

I have a SD 10 that doesn't power up. I tested it as in this video and have the 300v across the high side when measured across the choke and the cap. But measuring across the low side cap, the 1 big 3300uf 35v I only get about 1.8v. I would love to learn more about how these work. Any insight would be great.

Josh. Change the 33uF (Might be 47uF) 35V immediately next to the transformer block. Let me know.

@@razenby so I changed it, and it worked for a few minutes. I was able to see ~24vdc on the low side 3300uf cap. But the cap broke off the board and took the pads with it. And I can't get enough space to Solder another one in its place. Looks like I will need a new board.

Hello. Thanks for your video. I am testing this same power supply, and I need to know if to do so it is necessary to activate it with a load or by making a jumper or only connect it to the AC outlet.
@razenby Жыл бұрын
To be fully sure a power supply is working correctly it wise do a DC load test,.

Hi Magic Smoke, I'm wondering if you can provide some insight. I have a bose soundtouch 10, all works in regards to connectivity(able to connect to wifi/bluetooth) as soon as I play something, I hear a slight popping sound emanating from the speaker and after a few seconds the soundtouch indicator goes orange and the unit is thereafter non-responsive until I physically power it off/on. I think it may be related to software but I cannot find any older update.stu files online.
@razenby2 жыл бұрын
Impossible to say exactly. Most likely the power supply board is failing as it is by far the most common fault.. The SounddTouch 10 power board is virtually identical to the one used in the SoundDock 10.

@@razenby thank you, appreciate the feedback. What would be your suggested way/steps to identify the fault and rectify. I intend to fix it on my own but I'm quite the novice when it comes to electronics, interested to learn though.

Hey there. Great video. I have a Bose Sounddock 10 that is extremley muffled sounding. Is there a way to fix it?
@razenby4 жыл бұрын
Is the sound muffled when you play from the aux input? Often a really hollow sound with suppressed vocals is due to the docking connector.
@PimpBeetle1384 жыл бұрын
@@razenby it's muffled when I play from the aux input or while using Bluetooth. I have tested it both ways. When I put the volume on max I can hear mainly bass and the vocals are muffled. The unit itself is in mint condition and it even has the remote and all the cables. I picked it up for $20 at a thrift store hoping to repair it and send it to my father but I can't find any info online to diagnose the speaker besides the videos you made. Do you think it's repairable.
