Anyone know if there's a way to record video with this thing using its native software, Synapse? I'm not looking to stream with this webcam, I'm looking to record video to then edit in with gameplay footage in post. Do I need to use OBS to record?

That transition to the DSLR at the minute mark -- ooft. Now, I think the webcam looks great, and very promising, but it feels like the ultimate solution for premium quality will always be that DSLR setup. Then again, the price points are so vastly different, and the setup for the DSLR makes it harder for the average consumer to engage with. I'm really considering this Kiyo Pro now, after watching this review!

I really appreciate how informative this video is. I got the original kiyo a cpl of months ago for under $90 for streaming. I love it so far using it & it’s most def an upgrade to what I use to use WAY back in the day. $199 is a bit out of my price range but it’s def something I’ll be watching for sales or price drops come the holidays. That hdr def makes a world of a difference.

Hey great video! Can you tell me what version of MacOS you used to demo the use of the Webcam Settings app? It seems this camera is not compatible with MacOS Catalina (10.15) and I may have to send it back if there is no workaround. I haven't tried the Webcam Settings app just yet, pending more research. Not having the Adjustable Brightness Ring Light on this webcam is a GODSEND! The old Razer Kiyo was a burden to anyone who wore glasses during their stream, showing that bright white circle in both eyes the entire time. Something tells me the Razer team saw this as a big problem, which is why this camera has a hypersensitivity to surrounding light. The ring light on the original was a mistake - putting this camera (for people who wear glasses) on the low end of the buyers spectrum, for a huge markup.

I just received the camera and got Synapse running on the 2nd install attempt, however, I am unable to use Synapse with the camera and as a selectable video capture device for Streamlabs OBS because Synapse has exclusive control over the camera. How did you get synapse to be the video source for this KZbin review? I am also reaching out to Razer and Streamlabs OBS. Thanks and hope to hear from you. I want that HDR feature.

I hope I will be able to plug and play with this Kiyo Pro that I have just ordered from Amazon. I ordered a Brio 300 from them and my AMD Ryzen pc can't detect the webcam (Boot?), and the Logitune software keeps failing at updating the firmware. Many forums states that the webcam from Logitech is not compatible with AMD Ryzen. I even attempted to contact with Logitech technical support but they told me I have to wait for future updates on their firmware. WTF?

Seems legit but I run a multi cam podcast and I noticed that you can't use multiple Logitech cams (max of two) and so I was forced to get a third party cam for my overhead cam. Point being is that it's really challenging to get all three cam's to look the same. I'm wondering if this cam would have the same or similar problem. Any chance you could another review with 3 cams in OBS? No worries if that seems dumb... definitely seems like a very niche problem
