I think it's more you are used to the PS controller buttons than Razors buttons being an issue. Tbh it didn't even look like your finger was sliding off you just lack input accuracy. Especially If you're missing those giant face buttons on the PS controller like you demonstrated and it seems to be a frequent thing. This is more of a user preference/issue. If you like bigger face button just say that, don't blame Razor.

Please note that the "input delay" in minute 12:15 is not the actual input delay but the intervall between polls. Actual input delay would be substantially higher. Polling rate software like Xinputtest can not test input delay. The differeces can often be multiple milliseconds. Otherwise really good review. I like the fact that you also give a deeper analysis of the shape of the buttons instead of just saying that you dont like them.

@OrcasArePenguins3 ай бұрын
@@n64slayer For allmost every controller the difference between polling intervall and input delay is so large that it doesnt really make sense to use this metric to describe the delay. Let me give you some examples: Gamesir T4K: polling intervall 1ms - input delay 1-3ms Flydigi Apex 4: polling intervall 1ms - input delay 7-9ms GuliKitKK3 Max: polling intervall 1ms - input delay 10-12ms TB Stealth Ultra: polling intervall 4ms - input delay 7-9ms The latencys can vary from unit to unit, so your most likely going to find slightly different results online. An extreme example would be the KK3 max using the wireless dongle. it will still show sub 1ms polling intervalls on xinput test. The stick latency can however increase to more then 40ms in some instances.

Interesting, because i noticed the buttons on my older Wolverine Ultimate are very easy to press, and also flat. So they had the right thing, then decided to change it for the Chroma model which i also have. It really is impossible to find the perfect controller. I had this and had to send it back, it’s built well and feels good in the hand but this gave me cramps in my hands within 10 mins. The series s/x oem controllers are the most comfortable controller imo, it’s a shame Microsoft haven’t released a controller with Hall effect sticks.

You should add TK inputs to your tests. Play BB and it's integral to a couple characters for like Nu's optimal combo's and Hazama's neutral. I tried the Razer wolverine V2 pro and it skipping forward/back the 4/6 input with rolls makes it unusable for those characters. The astro c40 also has the same issue.

I'm weally disappointed now. Thank you for an honest review, everyone talks about all the good stuff. I'm still waiting for a perfect controller for Xbox. Need mouse click, changeable thumbsticks w hall effect, analog trigger with mouse click lock, i also prefer the dpad to be the plus only. Finally, programmable bottom buttons in a comfortable position, prefer 4. If anyone knows of one like this, not $200+, please let me know.

I own this controller he is so wrong it’s actually annoying I own the elite 2 and the scuff instinct pro and this controller beats them both. He is a play station player Xbox has always had rounded buttons since the og he is the only person that has this complaint the face buttons are quicker and have feedback unlock regular membrane switches. This controller is built for fps and pro style players he is obviously more of a single player gamer which is fine.

I just picked this controller up from best-buy. I love it but not used to the joysticks being more sticky than the ps5 controller I was using. The ps5 sticks were loose and the v3 are a bit tougher so when I’m playing warzone I can definitely notice it
@kpatt20063 ай бұрын
Razer has a few problems with this new V3, but not really the ones mentioned in this video lol. They curved the grips way too much and made them too short, making it tough to get a comfortable grip. The sticks are slightly loose and have stick drift out of the box. I was comparing it to the vader 4 pro to pick one, and the vader 4 won. The vader has none of the problems that the razer does, while having more features. I just wish Flydigi would add the extra top two bumper buttons.
@FrameCounting3 ай бұрын
Yes, you are correct. I didn't notice it because I got used to it. They did curved the grips more than they should making not very comfortable for long sessions.

Strange: I just opened my V3 Pro today and upon first click of the face buttons, I thought to myself: "That's nice, they're still mechanical switches, but less resistance" (comparing to it's outgoing predecessor, the Wolverine Tournament Edition V2 - and I've had 2 of those units over the past 4-5 years). I think the general sentiment for mechanical switches in controllers is negative. I like it. I haven't used it in practice yet, but I do like the idea of the triggers having switches when hair-trigger is on, and retain their regular pull/feel when off. They need to unify their software and bring Synapse to Xbox. The stand-alone controller app is lacking (why can't we copy profiles from old to new controllers?).
@gamer_jebjeb30633 ай бұрын
Just to add: triggers switching between linear and switch activation is more found in China controllers and it's a really good feature. It gets more complicated tho on the travel and resistance in different modes. :) Can't wait to get my hands on this controller too

Definitely an FPS focused controller. I don’t even touch the face buttons playing Call of Duty. Everything on those buttons is mapped to the back buttons. It’s amazing for the fact that I can map my to most used d pad buttons to the top so my thumbs practically never leave the sticks. I can see it being frustrating for fighting games, and agree it’s a huge oversight that would definitely make this controller absolutely perfect though.
