Picked up one of these at a yard sale yesterday for $50. My kids are too young to put an engine on it right now, but in the future I'd like to do something like this to it. You should definitely make a tutorial video of this.

I’m looking to do this myself, where did you get the cables and sprockets, did you put a centrifugal clutch on it?
@InTheShop4 жыл бұрын
All of the arts can be bought on amazon or ebay. I used a centrifugal clutch. #40 chain, 15 tooth sprocket on the axle. The axle is 20mm so you will have to buy a sprocket with a 3/4 bore and drill it out to 20mm.

@owenmilam2284 жыл бұрын
I have the kart, engine, centrifugal clutch, chain and engine plate. I just need to find the axle sprocket. Any recommendations?
@InTheShop4 жыл бұрын
Ebay or any go kart supply website. You need a 15 tooth 3/4 sprocket. The axle is 20mm so you will have to drill out the sprocket to fit over the axle.

@joew55592 жыл бұрын
Before you destroy those carts you should put those wheels on a lathe they will center perfectly inside a lawnmower wheel or a small tractor wheel depending on the size in the height that you pick you can get a lot of fun out of this you just Apoxsee them to the wheel itself after putting them on a lead and making them a bit smaller to fit in the hub or rim any tractor supply has them

What did you use for the sprocket setup?
@InTheShop4 жыл бұрын

I’ve been riding it off and on for the last two months and nothing broke yet. It’s actually pretty stout. The only thing I need to do is put a jam bolt to keep the motor back because no matter how tight I bolt it down the motor slides forward and loosens the chain. I’ll have another video coming very soon with the kart.
