I just picked one up today at the dump. No charger, broken throttle tab. I want to fix it and give it to my son for his 7th birthday this month.

Many thanks was fixing friends kart and it would go kind of fast and checked fuse thanks to your video and it had the same issue and replaced and now works great

You're going to want to solder those spade connections. The current draw will corrode over time and can cause charging issues that will kill the new batteries. I purchased a 500 watt dirt bike from a guy who replaced the batteries and they died in a month so he sold it. I pulled out the lead acid and modified them to run on 2 of my Ryobi 18V tool batteries. They work much better now. :-)

Kind of reminds me of "micro arcing" on a spark plug and wire, Your car will run fine and not misfire but the tiny arc eats away the plug and wire over time, That's partly why you use dielectric grease on the connection.

If its a for sure good battery replace the throttle first. If that don't fix it replace the controller

Our chain keeps falling off razor drifter as soon as our kid gets on it and drives. If I hold the go kart in the air and hold the trigger it is fine. I’ve replaced the tensioner and put on a new chain. The chain falls off still as soon as my 8 year old drives it. Any thoughts on what’s going on

Stretched chain. Buy a new one from their website for a couple bucks and throw that on there.
