I totally agree with you. It is time for Goldie & JK to be replaced. As a Kiwi & an AB Fan I would have liked to have heard more from Razor but JF & JK used the show for their own monologues as they have been doing increasingly so. Over inflated egos & ‘big fish in a small pond’ syndrome comes to mind. Telling Razor who he should look out for as if he didn’t already know & quizzical looks on Razor's face when JF & JK were giving out 'old' names who just aren't anywhere to the standard/quality required to be an AB. Asking Razor how he will change the ABs to beat the Boks, France, Ireland etc as if Razor is going to spill the beans on his short term & long term plans. It was more about JF & JK hearing their own voices rather than contributing anything worth listening to or taking notice of.

Razor has his plate full, he would probably be handed the most depleted all blacks team handed to any coach in recent times and still be expected to win every game, and rightfully so by AB's supporters. but the thing with razor is that he will find a way. As for Coaches Joe schmit said he won't work with razor but have no idea why australia, imagine him as AB's U20 coach. tony Brown Told razor he would stay loyal to Jamie Joseph but now he is loyal to Rassie Errasmus No other coach in the history of AllBlacks has faced this type of player experence drain from the al blacks and at the same time face new Zealand coaches who have the NZ rugby IP and One in particular who has coached them in the recent RWC. and these coaches have joined opposing teams who AB's have struggles with under foster Pretty tough ask.. but being part of all blacks machinery is always tough even in the best of times .....but we will find out if Razor and co are actually flock of chickens or a pride of lions. its 14 games that will define razor and co in 2024

Razor and co did a very good job of reintroducing him into public eye. Gave him a more well rounded look with all the explaining of his coaching cv. I dont agree that Goldie and Sir JK were annoying. I think their passion for the game is what more people should have and Razor is razor smart, looked to me he knows to appreciate the passion. Enjoyed that he gave licence to Kirsty re how tactful and genuinely pleasant she is. I've always backed NZR until recent times with how they treated Fozzie. Going to credit Razor with learning from all that bollocks, hopefully his respectful attitude here will permeate on many levels. Look to the future, hope Akira Ioane gets the right mentor, Scott Barrett gets leadership and regular captain, so he can grow even better through that...and we get Blackadder with no injuries for awhile...and finally, LOVE that Razor talked of both Cam and TJ, for getting both of them covers a hell of a lot of what we need in scrum half - Finlay and esp Folau are intriguing options. If we have to have Dmac at 10, may Cam be his fellow half.

I'm very interested in Razor's tenure as All Blacks coach once he starts. As for Super Rugby, Japanese involvement should be a Champions Cup with L1 instead of just bringing back the Sunwolves, and they may not need to reach the US west coast when Kanaloa Hawaii is a way of involving the US market. With the Jags returning in 2026, it would be an opportunity to reconsider Kanaloa Hawaii, especially if the Rebels are axed by that time now that they're playing for their existence in what might be their last season. And yeah Fiji and Japan in the Rugby Championship is a dream still waiting to materialize, especially when the Drua in SR will help the Flying Fijians alot if FRU can sort out the logistics right for their Europe based players.

Upmost respect for NZ. You will always have more skills with the way you play the game. But the times you lost to the Boks in finals were about what we have to deal with every day. You have a bad day if someone offends you at work. In South Africa people get killed daily just to rummage through their pockets. I don’t think you understand the desperation in SA. It’s a very harsh country. We fight for that last point because our country has 45% unemployment. You will not understand that as Kiwis.

When Pundits (& some Kiwis) are calling for ABs to be picked while playing overseas ‘as that is what the Boks do’, they may not have thought it through in it’s entirety. I would expect that the vast majority of the Boks who ply their trade away from SA whilst playing for the Boks are playing Club Footy in France, England or Ireland. The advantage of that is that they are pretty much all in the same Time Zone & (for example) a flight from Heathrow to Capetown is approx. 12 hours so you can catch a flight around/after Breakfast and arrive before bed time & there is no Jet Lag. It’s just like catching a Bus/Train & could be done at a drop of the hat so a Bok called fly out on Mon, train/play in SA on the Tue & fly back on the Wed - simples! You could even catch the evening flight, sleep on the Plane, arrive for Breakfast, train & fly back that night. For an AB to return from the UK is obviously a much longer trip, more logistics, a huge change in time zone & then it takes (say) a week to adjust/recover & then it is the same issues on the Return journey. That would make it almost a 3 week journey. Picking an AB from playing in Oz might be okay but any further & the logistics/availability/issues increase significantly. The Boks took that further. It appears as though many of the Boks had their Top 14 Contracts finish well ahead of the RWC which meant that they could return to SA for a 4-6 month Training Camp so it wasn’t so much that the Boks were playing overseas but already had pre-arranged ‘sabbaticals’ with the SARU so that all parties were happy & Player/RWC availability/condition was paramount. Comps like the Top 14, Gallagher Premiership, URC, Heineken Cup & Champions Cup are also of a very good standard so it is not that much of a step up to Test Rugby whereas the step from Japan League One to playing a test for the ABs is a big change especially for the Forwards who do not need as much bulk or hardness to play in Japan. Picking an AB from a player who is playing overseas is not really a (logistical) starter for me.

JK should get out the studio and the game. This obsession with changing the game is ridiculous. Gone is the 5 metre scrum, cost Ireland a World Cup semi potentially thx to Jordys leg. Doesn’t like scrumming when the true robbery of the WC final was that Barnes didn’t blow one scrum penalty (under order from world rugby no doubt) and NZ arrived with the dominant scrum 😂 Get this in your head JK … NZ have dominated the game for 100 years. And the last four years with changes and TMOs and what not … NZ have slipped down the rankings. It’s simple … if there’s contact SA will be up there. So other than touch rugby there is no rule that’ll nullify them. Get back to basics … scrum well, focus on set peace and embrace those disciplines as part of the game. JK wants ruck and run ruggers…..15 man league. Front up you softy and let it go. It’s 8 forwards and 7 backs. Each with their roles. League can only dream of the popularity of union. So why change it? It ain’t broke …. Who the hell are you to declare it broke just because your forwards were outmuscled? Sore loser of note. Front up in the traditions of the great all black packs of the past. Richard low, Hayman, Brooke, McCaw, Collins. Forwards who could tame the Boks and did regularly. Here is the test. If a pushover maul try doesn’t give you the same chubby as a full back cutting the line and dotting down under the posts … you’re not a union fan and should watch league. Or your balls have shrunk. It’s part of the game, if you don’t like it ….take a hike

the so-called 55 minutes of action in league - what proportion of that is havng to wait while absolutely nothing happens, i.e. the play the ball when everything stops? That's not action, that's repeated stoppages of play over the entire game.

So Super Rugby Pacific has dwindling fanbase interest? The URC has a huge fanbase following and growing numbers bursting out of it's seams? What could be the cause of this? Oh wait, the SA teams have left Super Rugby and joined URC!
@supplads
@supplads 3 ай бұрын
The URC previously the pro 14 already had great crowds prior to the South African teams joining. As a Glasgow warriors season ticket holder we’ve sold out season tickets for nearly 10 years at Scotstoun

@@supplads its easy to sell out a 30 000 capacity stadium. In SA we have almost up to 60-70 000 capacity stadiums and we still fill up 75% of it. To think the top SA teams has been in all 3 URC finals, where has glasgow warriors featured over the past 3 years?
@supplads
@supplads 3 ай бұрын
@@KyleMoore2020 where did I once mention success on the pitch? The original comment was trying to attribute full crowds in the URC to South African teams joining and I merely pointed out that’s not the case as the URC has had full crowds long before the South African teams arrived. Have they improved the quality of the competition? Absolutely. But that wasn’t the point being made.

I think Razor lost a whole of respect for both guys when they started talking about it being okay for the All Blacks to lose some games. Only recently has that BS attitude crept into the All Blacks and the publics ethos. It is never okay for the All Blacks to lose never. That world cup final loss still cuts deep for me.

Do not look at changing the eligibility rules - NZ rugby needs loyalty. That is what it is all about!!!! For a change to happen there must be a review process that must identify GOOD reason and none of these guys have established that because the AB performance results have NOT warranted that fact! Our present system is working! NO JK - why do you want to bring teams from Japan and US into the Super Rugby when you have Tonga and Samoa sitting there - look what playing the Super Rugby has done for Fiji! Matches against these islands are physical and that is what NZ needs to play against - physical sides! We are NOT going to get that against Japan and US! NZ and Australia have the perfect opportunity now to bring these physical island teams into Super Rugby and the Rugby Championship! Yeah sure there will be some result problems to start with BUT the more they play at this level the quicker they will adapt - look at Fiji! These island teams have the potential to inflict some serious results at the world cup IF NZ and Australia include them in the Super Rugby and Rugby Championship - the time is now!!!!

Completely wrong Razor. More often in Rugby League, the best team at actually playing RUGBY generally win. Ref calls and red cards very seldom influence the end result. You wouldn't get into the finals in NRL with 3 lucky ref calls.

No no no no no...this guy will never work for NZ. He is way too kind too respectfull too decent for the callous irrational tunnel-visioned-biased NZ rugby community. The way they laugjed at him (already). Scott will want to build a honest team organically and of course post abrasive- Hansen and Foster NZ will not adjuat to such an honest approach taking quite a long time before getting any wins. Players might not believe in him. AB's will prob lose most of their games in the next 18months
